Rely on Horror: Project Zero (Fatal Frame) 2: Crimson Butterfly is commonly regarded as one of the best horror games ever made, and I’m inclined to agree. In the coming months we’ll be releasing some retro reviews and articles on the four established entries in the series, but in the meantime we have some new gameplay and the opening cinematic for the upcoming Wii remake of the 2nd game, titled, “Deep Crimson Butterfly.” While no American release has been announced, Nintendo has confirmed the title will be coming to Europe. Though no exact date in Europe has been given, the game will be hitting Japan this June. The remake has been redone from scratch and features enhanced graphics, new mechanics, as well as new content, including a new 2-player mode. You can check out the redone opening cinematic (in Japanese) and some new gameplay below. Please take note that these videos were rendered at 240p, and playing them in the Youtube viewer blows them up a bit. Hopefully some higher-quality videos do surface soon.
Fatal Frame 2 is the quintessential survival horror game which deserves to be remembered by every horror fan.
I played the OG Xbox game on 360 via BC. Played great and looked perfect. I imported the wii remake as well, but have never actually played it.
Great game and great series..hopefully they would port FF2 Wii remake version on other consoles as they did with FF4 and FF5
Enter a world of terror and darkness with this list comprising the best horror games of all time, featuring old and new titles.
Was playing Alien: Isolation again a few weeks ago, still holds up and the AI is incredible.
F.E.A.R. was another amazing game, shame the series went downhill with 2 and then fell off entirely with F3AR.
Couldn’t get into Fatal Frame, bought the remaster on PS5 and just…couldn’t.
The spooky season is at last upon us, making the next couple of weeks the perfect time for a healthy helping of horror. There's no shortage of options out there, so here are a few suggestions to get the ball rolling!
I remember the suffering and it was descent game. I always wanted to play Crimson but never got to it.
But honestly, I’ve never played a game that really scared me, like some movies from the past have.
I like the look just wish the clips were just a little bit longer :)
nice, i hope it will be good
