PlayStation Store Preview – April 3, 2012: I Am Not Dead

Even though this update seems like the PlayStation Store is dead, there is at least one game that screams I Am Alive. Things have really slowed down for the PlayStation Vita, but at least there is some DLC for Escape Plan. There’s more, but for the most part, you’ll have to get your gaming fix on the PS3 this week. Luckily, there is plenty of great content for cheap or free courtesy of PlayStation Plus. - PSLS

Cool to see a demo for Escape Plan. Time to finally see if this is a game I can get into.

Snookies124404d ago

I bought Escape Plan, and it seems entertaining, but honestly I've barely played it. Not sure if it's quite worth it, but it's all about personal opinion really.

JoeReno4404d ago

I agree. I was kind of let down with Escape Plan, but then again I have given' it a fair chance. I got too caught up with Uncharted and Unit13. Then I got Rayman Orgins, and Tales from space. Both of those were suprise hits for me. So it still sits on the back burner. Maybe this DLC will put some fire back on it.

Sev4404d ago

Haha. It's not actually a demo, but DLC. I'm thrilled that there is DLC, though. I wanted more of the game the second I finished it.

T3mpr1x4404d ago

Ah crap, maybe I misread that...Might just have to bite the bullet then, it's gotten nice reviews and I dig the art style.

HarvesterOSarow4404d ago

I was hyped for Escape Plan for awhile, but after beating it I'm kinda "meh" about it. Hopefully the update fixes some of the control quirks, and gives more level variation.

On another note, if you do have a Vita and you'd like to play a really fun game at half the price of Escape Plan there's a game called Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack. That is actually my vita launch winner. I bought Wipeout 2048, Tales From Space and Escape play, they're all worth the purchase price but Blobs 7.99 price is a steal.

dedicatedtogamers4403d ago

Hells yeah. I remember when you showed me that game. Definitely worth checking out.

ziggurcat4403d ago

yeah, i've been waiting for a demo, too...

looks like it's really interesting, but closure also looked really interesting in the video, and i didn't like the game when i tried the demo.

I saw somewhere that Ghost Recon Future Soldier BETA was coming for ps plus subscribers early in April. What ever happened to that?

Interested in I Am Alive, but weren't reviews kind of "meh" for that one?

Snookies124404d ago

Yeah they were, but I'll definitely try out the demo and see whether it's something I'd purchase or not... There are a few games out there that get awful reviews that I personally love.

aDDicteD4404d ago

same here, going to try that one out

Crazyglues4403d ago (Edited 4403d ago )

Yeah I was looking at that one too, but some review I read said the controllers make the whole game a nightmare....

Now since it looks like there is a demo, I guess were about to find out..

Curious to see what avatars come about ._.

subtenko4404d ago

Ok, so Shift2 for PS+ this month. I think some people said that game was good. Nothing will top Farcry2 yet for me personally. Because of PS+ I know about Farcry 3 now ^_^

Agree or Disagree if you Agree :)

subtenko4404d ago (Edited 4404d ago )

lol, usually most people have a stick up their a** when I type that.

P.S. after looking at another review of "I am alive" from ign, Idk if I'm going to even download the demo now. I was interested in that E3 trailer but now...eh..

Also how the f did I get to two bubbles when I've been busy gone half the year though? :/ Which is why I stopped commenting on here because of the stupidity around here. W/e, I just miss saying that comment so I had to relieve myself xD

My favorite is always going to be Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. I know some people didn't like the addition of the run button. But, man that game is burned into my memory from childhood, lol.

Relientk77167d ago

That's the one I played the most as a kid. Fun times gaming on my Sega Genesis, the memories

Terry_B166d ago

Deception, MK2, MK9, MKX ..rest.

Kakashi Hatake166d ago

MK2 will always be the best in the series. Been playing a lot of MK1 lately though. Definitely enjoying it more than any other NRS era MK game.

Tankbusta40166d ago

1 and 2 were cultural phenomenon's.

I will always have a special place in my memory for MK 1 and 2. You had to be there during that era at the arcades. Martial arts tournament fighting movies were still popular, and MK 1 was exciting. Real life motion captured characters done well (unlike Pit Fighter). A cast of characters we all liked like Bruce Lee(Lui Kang), Van Damme(Johnny Cage), the Lightning god(Raiden) from Big Trouble in Little China, and Ninjas, gotta have Ninjas. Goro was menacing as hell. The MK arcade had some of the best speakers similar to Killer Instinct as you could hear the loud crisp and bassy sound that was distinctly different than other arcades. MK 2 improved greatly on the controls and fighting mechanics
