Kojima: 'Today I made a major direction change for FOX'

Hideo Kojima posted an interesting message on his Twitter today.

What does that have to do with this? Kojima often posts updates of what he is doing on his Twitter, this is just that.

And before when he did something like this, it was for an actual game. As it was in production with a foreseeable release date on such-and-such system. This is just him talking up a graphics engine and a possible game that could be on the PS4/Next Box as soon as the 360/PS3.

Hopefully what this means is that Kojima-san has switched his development in favor to accomodate the PlayStation®3 exclusively.

This drastic change in direction makes c.omplete business sense and technical sense as Hideo Kojima has a rich and long standing history with PlayStation. Both Sony and Kojima have benefitted from each other as Sony has given him the canvas for Hideo Kojima to paint his magnificent masterpieces on.

Only PlayStation®3 can provide Hideo Kojima the muscle he needs. With the enhancements and optimizations made to the Cell Processor, it's highly likely that Mr. Kojima has finally realized that his vision can be realized with only one console. The facts show that his previous major scale release (MGS4) was well recieved and reached astronomical sales. Which makes it obvious why PS3 is a viable choice for the Fox Engine.

Dark Sniper will be looking forward the release of the newest PlayStation®3 exclusive Project Ogre. He expects the usual greatness that Hideo Kojima always brings to PlayStation.

I believe that Hall of Fame blockbuster developer Kojima has changed the direction of the Fox Engine to accomodate the Nintendo Wii U entertainment console. This entire generation Hall of Fame blockbuster developer Kojima has been searching for new ways to innovate the gaming landscape. With the Nintendo Wii U entertainment console, Hall of Fame blockbuster developer Kojima will get what he has spent countless years waiting for.

The Nintendo Wii U entertainment console will provide men of his legendary caliber an innovative canvas. An open canvas full of potential, and never before seen innovations and tech that would force an average man bow to his knees. Hall of Fame blockbuster developer Kojima already stated that he will do whats necessary to provide Nintendo elite gamers with a unique, exclusive experience. An experience that can only be found on an industry leading Nintendo console.

The proof of this claim has already been well documented.

Nintendo is ready for Lord Kojima just as Lord Kojima is ready for Nintendo. It has already been proven that when Lord Kojima and the masterminds within Nintendo work together, legendary status is obtained. Super Smash Bros Brawl is living proof. Lord Kojimas creation Solid Snake made a fine addition to the already superior Super Smash Bros lineup of characters.

With the Nintendo Wii U entertainment console, Lord Kojima can finally have his dreams realized of developing a true 4D gaming experience. Which is probably one of the many dreams he had when hand crafting the Fox Engine.

You know, last gen Kojima directed 2 console Metal Gear Solid games, 2 Zone of the Enders Games, directed the 2 digital graphic novels on PSP and wrote Portable Ops.

This gen, MGS4 and Peace Walker... ports of older games.

I mean, he used to be really productive and now it's like... we're not going to get another Kojima game on home consoles until, probably, next gen.

He has been working on the Fox Engine, which has been an investment time wise, but the idea is that creating games is easier and quicker now. He's also working on Project Ogre, which will probably be released for current gen consoles.

I think he only produced the first ZOE didn't direct until ZOE 2. But yeah, he's barely done anything this gen. Here's hoping for ZOE 3 at the least.
