G4TV- Journey Review

Jonathan Deesing, G4- "If there are flaws in Journey, I’m not the person to ask about them. The game is both emotionally and visually stirring enough that any problems are insignificant to the point of not meriting mention. There is a meme floating around the internet claiming that various stories—from Pokémon to Cast Away—provide a better love story than the Twilight series. I couldn’t help but think about this while watching Journey a half-dozen times.

Other games depend heavily on the time you spend with a character to develop a demonstrative connection with them. This is the case with Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2, and myriad other games. However, in a mere hour and a half, Journey made more of an impact on my psyche than any game I have ever played."

I'm seeing a lot of good reviews for this title. Never heard of it before.

Really nicely written review. Eclectic style, different and it works. Especially for such a different experience.

Is this PS+ timed exclusive or is the store just ambiguous? I went there looking to buy it, and there's 2 options: PS+, or Pre-Order.

But I just went to IGN now and they claim the release date is next week.

WHY did the reviews for this game pour in so damn fucking early?? I've been patiently waiting for this for a *long* time, but then the damn reviews had to starting pouring in 2 weeks early. Wtf? Now I'm impatient because of all these glowing reviews.

Edit: GameTrailers also lists it as coming out next week. At least it's not timed exclusive. Still pissed about all those reviews being so early though.

Yes, it's a PS+ timed exclusive. If you've got +, you can play it now. For everyone else, it will release next week.

Well that's a fucking kick in the balls.

Concept artist has a very distinct style and if they can translate that into the game well this studio will be making some visually stunning games.
