TheParanoidGamer Writes: "As a hardcore gamer that primarily plays Xbox, it’s easy for myself and others to be dismissive of Nintendo’s little white box that could. Motion controlling is usually annoying, the graphics are behind the times, and awesome game series like Assassin’s Creed and Mass Effect don’t come to the system due to it being so far outside the others experience that porting wouldn’t work. However, if you’ve never tried the Wii out because you considered it too kiddy or you were just too busy with your other system you might give it a shot. It could just surprise you."
Gary Green said: We have a juxtaposition of 2D and 3D visuals, flashy turn-based combat, quirky anime characters with cheeky dialogue with plenty of partial nudity; Yes, this is a Compile Heart JRPG. Whilst the engine is borrowed from Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, Mugen Souls is more of a Disgaea spin-off. It’s not a strategy RPG as such, it merely sits within Disgaea’s ever-expanding universe (Multiverse? Netherverse? Your guess is as good as mine). You won’t find cameos though, since Mugen Souls is a franchise which aims to stand on its own two feet.
Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.
It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
Armored Core VI?
Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
The Wii has plenty of "hardcore" games. Most people just don't do any research to find any.
Be honest - most of you don't click on the Wii tab here at N4G and IGN, and GameTrailers.
Any knowledgeable gamer knows that the Wii has a great library.
I disagree.
Theres no such thing as Hardcore games just Hardcore gamers
Its sad that an article like this needs to educate the morons.
The wii had a far superior hardcore exclusive library than the gamecube did. Thats for sure
The Nintendo Wii entertainment console has an outstanding amount of hardcore games. The games may not be full of guns, blood, and profanity. But you will have a more difficult and challenging time completing any Zelda, Mario, Metroid, or most other Nintendo in house exclusives then most shooters.
I am personally using shooters because they dominate the playing field on the rival HD consoles.
There are plenty of great full complete hardcore games to be played on the Nintendo Wii console.
