Gamespot writes: As you begin your journey in The Last Story, you get the feeling you've seen this all before; the maniacal dictator seeking ungodly powers, the crisis that threatens the survival of the world, and the band of shockingly youthful renegades, with even shockingly bigger swords, whose job it is to put it all right again.
It has been 10 years since Xenoblade arrived in the US, we look back at how the game almost never showed up if not for a group of dedicated fans.
I wish The Last Story would make a comeback.I played it years before I got around to Xenoblade. Mainly because of the scalping going on because of Xeno's limited run. It took me a few tries to get into it but once I did I couldn't put it down. A Wii hidden gem for sure.
I wish the Last Story get a Switch remaster or remake. That game deserves a second chance
These JRPGs stand up on their own.
For the Wii’s 15th birthday, here’s a list of 15 Wii games that deserve ports or sequels.
Must've felt guilty for that inaccurate Skyward Sword review.
Just as I figured many many moons ago. The Last Story would receive ultimate praise by reviewers across the net. As stated above Gamespot felt horrible for cracking on the Nintendo exclusive masterpiece that is Skyward Sword. So they made up for that tragedy with a more realistic score for Nintendo exclusive The Last Story.
Now twice this year elite Nintendo gamers get to experience two AAA JRPG titles exclusively for the Nintendo Wii console. Great JRPG games have been very rare this generation across all consoles. But the wait is about to be over for Nintendo Wii owners. The best has arrived on the home turf.
Games like these are the reason that Nintendo is the longest lasting survivor in the videogame industry. The only dedicated videogame company with good direction with a solid game plan. The only company with a true identity. Nintendo always stays equipped with the latest tech to future proof existing consoles and give us amazing games like this so far into a consoles life cycle.
If you ask your parents right now what is their favorite videogame. Chances are they will name a Nintendo exclusive. Chances are their favorite console will me a Nintendo Manufactured console.
Nintendo furthers the great reputation of providing a little joy for everyone that invests in Nintendo. The proof is in the exclusives. This may be the last story for the characters in the new exclusive, but this is not the last story for Nintendo. This... is only the beginning.
Have a nice day my fellow Nintendo supporters and happy gaming.
Rated E For Everyone
Trying to platinum Golden Abyss before I can move on, but it's taking a lot longer than expected. Irritating really, 'cos I'm desperate to play The Last Story.
Nothing against Nintendo, but it's a pity this game is a Wii exclusive. Would be great for a HD version of the game in the X360/PS3/PC... or Wii U.
another nonsense review about pushing a genre foward. Its a crutch of the failed writer...........
Yes last story is an amazing japanese rpg. But its really only 1 out of a hundred great ones this gen
Case being. Look at devil survivor 2 that just launched in the US. Its amazing
And then we have shining blade and suikoden tapestry. Also very very good
fyi the combat is nothing like western rpgs because are you honestly going to tell me japan had never had an action based battle system?
really? if you say that I cant take this seriously
