I mean free is free, but I found this to be a boring slog.
Not to mention this remasters actually made the game look worse in multiple areas.
I did quite like their A Machine for Pigs and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture though.

I like it. It really pushes the boundaries of what a game can be, and I like that.
Not the mention the graphics are beautiful.

The desperation and the feeling of loneliness that the game portrays is unmatched. It may not be a game at all, but it sure makes you feel something and leaves you thinking after it ends. It's not about problem solving, there are no puzzles at all, it's all about immersion and the atmosphere, and the "experience". And the graphics are amazing to say the least. Attention to detail is, well again, unmatched.
I loved it the first time and I know that I'll be playing it again and again. It's just like reading a good literary work, in that regard, you can consider this game as an audiobook.
Just finished it and i must say that this game is one if its kind and a Masterpeace in that area.
The loneliness that the game throw on you is unmatched.
You really feel like you are alone on an island, following the history of a man... (more i cant say)
When i finished it and the "ending cene" were "starting"
(you who finished the game) now what i am talking about.
It made me feel a strange feeling after finishing the game,
This is the first game i really have thinked about after i finished it, what did the guy reading say? , What was that shadow? Was it me "before?" or was it just my mind playing tricks with me?
The grafix and the music was just beautiful, out of this world and the detail on the caves and overall for that part (but mostly in the caves) is just INSANE !
I love this game and i will shure play it one more time after some time when i have "let the game landed".
To you that still "think" about bying and playing this game. DO IT!
Then sit back in your sofa, infront of your data, RELAX and let your mind be drawn in to a "dark fantasy" that will leave a mark on you for days to come.
how long is this game?
This is probably the most torn I've felt over a piece of interactive entertainment. I loved it and yet it's impossible to describe it as a medium. It's an experience, but one that's difficult to put your finger on. It has none of the elements of a traditional game, and yet you come away with the same sense of satisfaction, appeal and desire to try it all over again.
For those who loved Flower on PSN and are looking forward to Journey, I whole-heartedly recommend Dear Esther if you have the PC to run it. The work is unlike anything you've seen or experienced. Relaxing, intriguing and ultimately moving.
