VGW: For those of you who pre-ordered the First Edition bundle of the PS Vita (if you find yourself drooling over it after reading this article, it’s still available on Amazon), you won’t find yourself lacking any games to play on your shiny new portable. The First Edition package is available for pickup (or delivery) to pre-order customers on February 15, and ships with Little Deviants, a title that showcases most of the Vita’s features. But there are a whopping 14 additional titles available at retail on the 15th, from both Sony and 3rd party publishers like Ubisoft and Capcom.
We’ve compiled a list of the complete pre-release lineup, and have verified the dates with both Amazon and Gamestop. Even better is that the majority of these games are available with release day delivery from Amazon for a paltry $.99 extra, so if you’re an early adopter and need more software, here’s what will be available before the public launch of the system on February 22.
Sony has recruited Bungie's head of revenue Jaremy Rich to head up its live-service gaming division, Rich has announced on social media.
Please do not put Destiny’s monetization into Sony’s first party games. The monetization is what’s driving players away from Destiny.
I mean, this person made some pretty bad decisions at Bungie. I hope they've learned from them because I definitely don't see those type of ideas as good for PlaySation in general.
Ps5 gamers in 2023 seemed to play more live service types of games, so regardless to how people feel about them, numbers don’t lie and Sony is going where the money is. I mean look at the excitement around Helldivers2, people are showing that they want live service games.
How do you kill a franchise that already been killed?
Destiny’s grind, cash-in-on-playbass-cha-Ching, and pop-culture-insertion mainstream-me-too bs totally killed any rep Bungie had. Sony/Bungie, if you are doing this to ward-off players, it’s already working.
Sony has patented to add multiple dialogue modes to let players switch between how many conversations with NPCs they want in the game.
Sony is like the only ones outta the 3 that has atuff like like this pop up changing thing in ways.
Genuine Enabling Technology was seeking damages, claiming the tech allowing PlayStation consoles and controllers to communicate infringes its rights.
Sounds like patent trolling they tried the same thing against Nintendo with the same pattern.
Motion and control input traversing over higher and lower frequencies seperate from each other allowing the controller to do both
So to recoup the money Genuine is going to take on Nintendo or Microsoft next. I hate patent lawyers they are some of the worst bottom feeders out there.
how about Escape Plan , Super Stardust Delta , Hustle Kings ?
May pick up FIFA...
I heard fifa lags. hope its fixed
First Edition Bundle and Uncharted: Golden Abyss for me.
I keep going back and forth between the FEB and the wifi, but I'm getting so hyped for it now, I don't really care to wait an extra week. Besides, I'll probably get some good hours out of Little Deviants and that case is pretty nice too. It'll be worth it.
I want this system pretty bad. Still undecided if I should get the launch bundle for $299 or just stick with the wifi one. I know I'll never pay to use the 3G so not sure if its worth the extra cost or not.
That and I'm paranoid that Sony won't truly use the remote play feature, just like they failed to do with the PSP, and that is a big reason for my purchase.
