Which is Better Wired or Wireless?

Depends on the battery situation. I use wireless for PS3 (because there isn't really any reason not to) and wired for 360. Works for me.

Wireless on consoles and PC for me.(I hook up everything to one HDTV) Unless its online multiplayer on PC,wireless is great.

When playing a fast paced game like Bayonetta or King of Fighter, lag is something to consider.

I've been playing Bayonetta wirelessly on my PS3 and i think im experience some lag... do you think that is possible? Serious question.

On PS3 at least, I don't think it makes a difference if it's wireless or wired. I think the input lag is exactly the same, unless the game ITSELF has input lag. It might be different with third party controllers, but I try to stay away from those. I don't know if it's the same for 360.

On PC, I do prefer a wired mouse (currently using a Logitech G9x which is wired.) Only for gaming, though. Otherwise I use a wireless mouse.

Another reason is the battery pack of the back of the controller. I have big hands and my fingers always feel scrunched up against. The wired 360 controller doesn't have that box sticking off the back but I hate wires so always use wireless.

personally I really think this relies on personal preferences. Wired controllers have the potential of bringing your system down if someone trips over the wire and wireless controllers after awhile will require consistent charging to keep them going.

On ps3 I use wireless of course. On my 360 I prefer the feel of the wired controller. I have wireless controllers, wired, and the play and charge kit.
I bought the wired controller for 360 just for a few pc games but ended up loving the feel of them and use it regularly.

Depends on who makes it. If if is some sh*tty company making it you know it will suck both ways. But if a good company makes it it doesn't matter.

got it during a sale. can't pass up on good deal I guess. but it feels good except for the shoulder buttons! they could've been better imo.

2 things I really don't like about it:

1. can't be used with the PS3

2. you lost the receiver, it's hard as hell to find a replacement.

If you have concerns about latency, use wired. It's that simple. I can't imagine that there's a huge gulf between response times, but if you're going to obsess over it, wired will put your mind at ease.

You can use the DS3 on PC if you have bluetooth, or just add a bluetooth dongle for $10

WIRELESS! I rememeber the days of sliding the controller back and forth to friends under the coffee table. Have you ever felt the need to game with your arms streched out because the wire wasn`t long enough? Good freaking times!

I've always thought that any wireless device is going to have some inherent lag associated with it. It's been noticeable with every single wireless mouse I've used. The article doesn't mention it though.

Wireless is for the PS3 because it is easier then swamping batteries.
It can also be fully recharged in around 40 mins WHILE playing a game on the console.

For my PC I feel better using a wired Xbox360 controler since I don t use it all the time and this way it is ready to go at any moment I want.

I wish the Wii and the Xbox 360 came with rechargeble batteries that could easilly recharged with a basic usb cable.
Makes things much easier. I lost the times that I went to play a Wii game and then the batteries on the wiimote poofed and the ones I had as a backup are either out of charge or half the battery power already.

Both. If my DS3 controller is running out of charge then I connect the cord, after it finishes charging I remove the cord. Simple as that.

For lone wolf pub matches wireless is fine.

I prefer wired. The cord is long enough to move around and it doesn't have the battery pack on the back, which I like. Never have to worry about batteries either. Plus, I like how they're cheaper.
