PS3 is lead console platform for Hitman: Absolution

that when you lead on the PS3 then both ps3 and 360 versions come out on par. When you lead with the 360, the PS3 version seems to suffer in some areas.

I think it had been proven by various devs that some of the hardware assets of the ps3 could be emulated on the 360 but not going the other direction.

If anyone has more information on this please enlighten me.

I know, its always nice to hear the PC is being made independent of the other platforms, If anything it guarentees that it will be optimized which i feel this has been a big year for.

Yeah man, it is going to be amazing! I've been waiting for a true Hitman this gen. Blood Money was awesome, don't get me wrong, it just wasn't exactly HD.

This is great news though, having ps3 as lead console when developing tends to make the game run better on both consoles. I assume because the ps3 is harder to develop for. Anyway, regardless of which system you get it for, it's Hitman and I'm happy it's back. XD

It looks awesome it really does, ive wanted Hitman V longer than anyone one, when i joined N4G years ago i use to go on about how i "wanted" the next Hitman game, everyoneelse wanted Killzone 2 or summin like that

But since hearin that Jesper Kyd (music/atmosphere creater for the series) and David Bateson (voice actor for 47, IO even modeled Mr 47 around the actor) hav been dropped from Hitman 5 i favour a rental over buyin it day 1 (like i was originally)

Thats my rant over, you know, i dont mind too much when Hollywood, for example, would remake an awesome film and screw it up, im not the sorta mofo that would moan to much,* i dont care, the original is still there* but Hitman? come on, its like the one flawless series of games that ive enjoyed momemt after moment, game after game, its not broke, it dont need fixin, it just needs that next gen touch in graphics

Multiplayer doesnt help either, its not going to be done very well

Im hopin for a HD Collection of the originals anyway, if they do that?..................AWESOME !

Fact: Most multiplats look slightly sharper on the X360.
Fact: X360 memory is better integrated and allows for more flow (512mb gfx/os for X360 vs 256mb gfx/256mb os for PS3
Using that knowledge, one can only assume that the memory is better used on the xbox 360, resulting in better/higher textures and you'd have to trim down the textures in order to make the consoles look more equal.

What you're getting wrong is that it works like that if you go 360 to PS3. If you go PS3 to 360, that doesn't happen.

Face facts, the PS3 library is filled with beautiful games that the 360 can't counter with. What does that tell you?

No but it will look better on Ps3 than most multiplats which are developed on other platforms then ported to ps3, right? Wasn't that the case with LA Noire and BF3? I dont own BF3 on ps3, but La Noire looked stunning on the ps3 and R*/Bondi allegedly developed that with ps3 as the lead design platform.

Either way, I think the "this multiplat looks better on this system" debate is kinda silly. Most multiplats look so closely identical on either system that any differneces in textures would be negligible. I think console exclusives are where games can really shine graphiocally because with an exclusive you have a development team working strictly within the arcitecture of one console and not worrying about porting it out.

The fact that xbox 360 has better memory + the 10 edram when it comes to textures says enough that if dev would cut down on textures is cos ps3 fails and wont support the same standards

Sweet, using the PS3 as the lead platform in previous games provided great results for both console platforms like in Castlevania lords of shadow, Dead Space 2, and LA Noire

Won't happen cause differences in disc size. Lost Planet 2 had a ton of content cut from it cause it couldnt fit onto a DVD but it could on Blu Ray. It will look great on PS3 and 360.

Capcom did that because their greedy as hell. Any self respecting developer wouldve put it on a 2nd dvd or put it up as free dlc. That whole lost planet thing is cause capcom sucks.

This is good, sensible business. Take the hardest platform, and make it your lead, then take the easy road to port to the other platforms. There's no reason the PS3 version, or the team itself, should suffer from making a hasty port on the back end of the project.

Hitman, as a series, has also been more popular in Europe than the US -- another good reason to make certain the PS3 version gets lots of attention.

PS3 lead or 360 lead... it really is upon the skill of the developer to make the games look great and run well. I mean look at BF3.. PS3 was the lead console sku and you can easily argue that out of the two the 360 has had far less issues than the PS3 version and both look on par.

Eidos just make a good game, I am sure all will be happy if you get that part right.

I don't own a PC but it's cool for the people that can afford them so they can get what they paid for and don't have moan about getting a console port. It's just gonna be annoying when this game comes out and N4G gets flooded with comparison articals.
