It was no longer surprising when MGS4 came and blew us away with how pretty it looked, given that all the previous games had done likewise, but apparently even that didn’t satisfy its perfectionist creator. “It sounds strange saying this now, but I feel we didn’t achieve all that I wanted to do with 4,” Kojima says.
Hideo Kojima is widely known as a video games auteur, but what are his best games outside the Metal Gear franchise?
The PlayStation 3 may not have been the strongest generation for Sony, but there were still some diamonds in the rough that deserve a revisit as PS5 remasters.
Even if they could just remaster and put on PSVR2, some would still look great as VR titles and could do a whole lot to bolster the headset w these exclusives! I'd imagine the investment of reworking these titles into VR would be way less than building new games from the ground up, and they could be amazing experiences, and VR often makes flat games feel fresh again. The Resistance and Killzone games are particularly what I want to see!!
The time is perfect for a resistance fall of man game campaign coop multiplayer
Resistance was ok but Warhawk and Starhawk was better and kept me coming back for almost a decade of fun and petty revenge on the loud mouth unskilled players 🤣
Edit I loved capture the flag dropping the pot on the flag carrier was extremely satisfying as well as transforming your plane in bot form and stumping them to death 😱
During the latest episode of HideoTube, Kojima talked a bit about Physint and the other projects he's currently working on.
That is a fantastic interview. Physint is a love letter to the fans. What a legend.
I'm guessing OD will also be coming to PlayStation, as the trailer states for all players lol
I really really miss MSG. For me its not a PS gen if there is no MSG. So this news is a God send for me.
good game mgs4 best game i played this gen and what up with the tab mgs4 does not exist on pc or 360 its ps3 excluisve game they should removed 360 and pc from tab
I think I was blown away first and foremost by how awful the writing was, long before the graphics had a chance to impress me.
Beat the game in two long marathon sessions back in '08. Just had to keep going, heh. Good times.
A classic.
I'm probably going to get blasted for saying this but I hated MGS4 & this comes from an MGS fan since the first one. Those overly long cutscenes, weak story & that awful mission where you had to tail that guy for what seemed like hours.
I will give credit to that scene on the river with ocelot where he forces his enemies to kill themselves, that was amazing.
