jriquelme_paraguay4557d ago

i buy the Hardcover for 3 Dollars on Amazon...
I ordered 2 copies of BF3, so Skyrim+Guide cost me both: 43usd :P

Blackdeath_6634557d ago

...i think i will just figure my way out as i play the game XD lol. (improvisation FTW)

raWfodog4557d ago

Yeah, where's the fun in playing if you're having a strategy guide lay it all out for you?

And if I was really stuck in one particular area and absolutely could not figure it out on my own after exhaustive attempts, then there's always the Internet.

lifesanrpg4557d ago

@raWfodog I think the maps could be useful, but I like experimenting with builds and stuff. DOn't need a guide to tell me what to do

The CE version is bigger again.

banjadude4557d ago

Hi,

Do you know if the CD guide is going to be specially numbered (kind like the F3, and New Vegas ones)?

Lucreto4556d ago

Not from what I can see.

lance424557d ago

I feel like after reading that I'd need to take an exam.

DemonStration4557d ago (Edited 4557d ago )

How big was the Dark Souls guide?

IrishAssa4557d ago

Dunno, it's not like Elder scrolls though, it's amount of playtime get double by the amount of deaths etc.

Columbo4557d ago

384 pages. http://www.amazon.com/Souls...

I highly recommend buying this if you like hardcover guides.

Kenshin_BATT0USAI4557d ago

It was 384 pages like Columbo said BUT it covered EVERYTHING in the game.

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast13d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22913d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko13d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave13d ago (Edited 13d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
