Jason D. of iNintendo.net writes, "Let me start this off by saying that throughout the years, I have sunk about 200 hours into this game. I bought it launch day August 22nd, 2005 when the DS was still in its infancy. For someone starved for a DS game this was a god send. I had played the other Advance Wars games and loved them and Dual Strike took the standard Advance Wars formula and made it a whole lot better."
Not every IP gets a long, guaranteed life filled with fame, fortune, and spin-offs. There are far more Gex-es out there than Marios. But, that doesn’t mean the series that died off are bad or less deserving. Some of them are both fan favorites and critically acclaimed. They just, well, didn’t make enough money or ended up lost to time.
The Punished Backlog's David Silbert writes:
"Nintendo is widely known for its deep, eclectic well of beloved franchises. From The Legend of Zelda to Wrecking Crew, there’s no library in gaming as rich in history or as popular among fans.
2019 is shaping up to be a banner year for Nintendo, with representatives from Mario, Fire Emblem, Zelda, and Pokémon all gracing the Switch platform before the year’s end. At the same time, there are still plenty of Nintendo franchises that lie dormant this generation, in desperate need of the “Switch treatment.”
While there are plenty of legendary series worthy of a revival, here are six in particular I would absolutely kill to see on Switch in the near future."
A new Golden Sun and Mother would be great, but I wish I wasn't the only one that wants a new StarTropics.
Summer's a great time to watch a Let's Play! That's what [Graham Russell] hears, anyway. Each Friday in July, Michibiku will be posting episodes of a full campaign playthrough of Advance Wars: Dual Strike, the 2005 DS game from Intelligent Systems and the last release to feature the franchise's iconic world and characters. Join us!
played the shit out of this one and the first entry. Great games, if I remember correctly u could play this game multiplayer with only one cartridge, the maps and animations were a bit limited then though.
Would love to see a new entry on the switch.
One of the top reasons to own a DS.
great game.
