"The zombie fad is back and the undead have been quickly engulfing the gaming scene. With gamers enjoying Left4Dead, Dead Rising, Undead Nightmare, and Call of Duty’s zombies mode, it’s easy to see how saturated the market is with the living dead. Techland is looking to add to this expanding list with their newest title Dead Island." - JPS
We might be in the age of remasters, but it doesn't look like the Dead Island 2 devs believe remaking the original game is the right move for the series.
but remakes require far less effort for these companies and they can still charge $70 for them!
Feel like everyone makes fun of Skyrim re-releasing like 18 times yet applaud these remasters elsewhere. Would much prefer NEW games
Making sequels really is the way to go. Otherwise we'll be stuck playing only the first entry, forever!!!
Josiah Motley of KnowTechie writes: "I love video game trailers. While I don’t believe they are an integral part of a game’s success (especially these days), there’s something about a well-produced trailer that really just reminds me why I like video games."
It’s the music. It’s perfect. I agree with this for sure, it is well choreographed….unfortunately the game didn’t live up to the trailer.
Have you ever seen any of the MGS 3 or MGS 4 trailers? Those blow this out of the water for me.
Kevin F. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "Many of the best Xbox 360 games are playable on the Xbox One and Series X|S consoles. Some even with some enhanced visuals and performance. Unfortunately, not every game from the Xbox 360 library has received this glorious feat of being able to be played on more modern Microsoft consoles."
The Spider-man games will never happen. The xbox 360 Marvel Ultimate Alliance games have a better chance of happening than Spider-man titles but won't happen. The Xbox One Ultimate Alliance games delisted years ago
Yeah... you can totally forget about those entries that got delisted because of licensing issues. Those are not happening.
The reviews on this game are very mixed...
I don't understand why when it comes to Zombies people keep saying about saturation... There is saturation in about every area, but suddenly when it comes to the Living Dead it is a big issue!
I mean let's be honest.... how many RECENT and GOOD Zombie movies have there been?
There has only been 1 Zombie TV show and that has been recent!
And when it comes to games it has only been fairly recently that we have had a glut of them.... and some like L4D are not on every platform.
Most Zombie games have not been great, and most Zombie fans are still waiting for that definitive Zombie experience!
So why do the people who do not like Zombies, or have grown bored of them feel the incessant need to complain about there being too many?
Can't they just NOT play them?
Perhaps go play something else?
I personally am still waiting to play the ultimate Zombie game, and waiting for a few more Decent Zombie movies to come out (as let's be honest... most are shit).
Dead Island looks like a big step in the right direction... and I look forward to playing it... but I don't think it is the Zombie game I am waiting for!
EDIT: and I'm not talking about this thread... just in general people complaining about too many Zombie games!
Some people are forgiving on small bugs, or parts of the game like bad voice acting and bad storyline. But some guys however, are quite cynical about the bugs this game has.
Personally I'd rate it around the 8 mark, but reviews of 6 and etc for this game seem crazy... It's a gorgeous open world zombie RPG game, with the game mechanics and the style, that to me is deserving of at least an 8. Haters gonna hate though.
Fallout 3 with zombies is the way I sum up my thoughts on this game. And I loved Fallout 3 despite it's bugs. >.>
I need to choose btwn this and Gears 3. I think I'll pick this up when it gets cheaper since I'm more interested in the story/MP of Gears.
