I'm going to lie..as an old head original Xbox gamer, that list is pretty dead on with a couple of those games.

If there was a Shenmue/Shenmue II HD collection my head would explode.

Jet Set Radio collection would be amazing. Although, Jet Set Future HD arcade would be fine.

I'm hoping that Panzer Dragoon HD is released in lieu of Project Draco as well.

The mega bomb would be a KOTOR collection and Jade Empire HD from Bioware..

A Forza HD remake?
That already exists. It's called Forza 2.

Some of the games listed are strange to say the least.

The most obvious title which sticks out is Forza with Forza 4 already in development. That'd be like suggesting that Sony should go out and give GT3: A-Spec an HD upgrade with GT5 already on the market.

Then you have Conker: Live & Reloaded, itself a remake of a great N64 game albeit a watered down and neutered remake. Rare already FAILed at remaking Conker once, why piss all over the series again?

I think we'd all love to see a pair of PS3/360 HD remakes of both Shenmue and Shenmue II but including the sequel on this list is kind of odd given that it wasn't really an "Xbox" title per se. Shenmue II for the 360 was a port of the DC version.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for remakes of quality titles here, but it seems like the author of this piece ended up biting off more then he could chew when he decided to throw this list together as he ended up listing a handful of games that either don't fit the criteria of his headline (i.e. they weren't exclusives or wouldn't be today if they were re-released), or don't really make a lot of sense in general. The majority of the games on this list if they were to be re-released in HD would end up being multiplatform titles.

Crimson skies needs a sequel not a remake. There are lots of games that should get sequels as opposed to remakes but then again....maybe it is cheaper and easier to remake the originals.

I am still wondering if Sony and GG will HD remake the original killzone. I cant play that game in its current form. I would like to see the original Panzer Dragoon remade instead of the other two (zwei and orta).

EA needs to make a sequel to Black. That game was great.

I think that jet set radio FUTURE is the #1 game that needs an HD remake.

I love those games and the xbox sequel JSRF looked amazing and in HD would be great.

but also, a new JSR made for current consoles would be awesome too. sega should make that, Ill buy it no matter what.

shenmu 2 was on DC and xbox1, and jet set radio FUTURE(JSR 2) was only on the original xbox. They are talking about those games, not the DC originals.

Why would forza 1 need a remake??they just need to put the good tracks in forza 4 like rio de janeiro, pacific shipyards and the tokyo circuit...and taillights customization and that's it :) ...i would like to see a far cry instincts evolution remake that game was beast,a black remake or black 2,conker,pgr 5,bloodwake,halo 2 and JADE EMPIRE such an awesome game :D and rallisport challenge 3

why remake halo 2 they would focus online only...just like with fordza it dont need to be done...sony has it so far with single player game in HD remakes...my point is with multiplayer they are upgrading each new game that releases but with single player most of the time a sequal is a cont. of the last one...halo remakes would b great if it was campain only...imagine halo 4 comes out how many ppl would trade in halo 2 HD just to get halo 4

Ive been gaming since 1998 and i didn't even know that was on xbox the only memorable games not named halo i rememebr playing on xbox were SW:KOTOR 2 fable, freedom fighters and crimson skies

Well the difference is unlike the other games which bump the graphics to PC style, 343i so far have defined how a remake should be done. Thought certain liberties have been taken in the process.

I have been talking about this for years. I have never had a 360 but I would buy one for an HD remake of the series or for a good rallisport challenge 3. Mostly a sony guy but that game was the best reason to own an original xbox and was one of the most fun games to play of any genre... on any system that has ever been.

Never mind the technology of the first two steel battalion games takes a nose dive in this version, never mind the controls does not include a 40 button controller and 3 pedals. No turbo... a two minute trailer will not suffice to make my opinion of this game. The fact the experience, and an experience I spent years with in the first two games has been severely altered. No different than the response people had to the Fable on rails trailer at E3. People didn't like the change from free roam to looking at an ass of a horse. @Sith seriously? Are you that jaded? I called Dues Ex as a possible GOTY contender based on all the reviews pooring in. I said it was similar to bioshock in how the game has been covered by the press.

Back on point, Steel Battalion may or may not be great. I choose to give it the benefit of doubt for now. I also bought and played Steel battalion with its controller... Not the gazillion hours you did but enough to know it was a unique experience I enjoyed. Hopefully this game will offer something similar just minus the controller.

As for the kid comment... Do you think you are now internet tough for saying kid? Is that your tough guy talk? I can assure you I have been gaming for as long as you "turbo". Glad to see you are upholding your end of the typical N4G response.

8. Breakdown - Mirrors Edge with an attitude...yeah, I like the idea.
7. Fable - Fable as a franchise is going downhill fast, I don't see the need to bring back a game many considered to be severly flawed just for shinny graphics.

Too bad when I had an XBox, I never really gave non-Sports games a chance. But I much rather see brand new games from series than remakes. And they would be Panzer Dragoon and Conker (especially).
