At E3 2009 when Lionhead Studios’ Peter Molyneux came to the stage during Project Natal’s (now known as Kinect) introduction, we knew something interesting would be on the cards...But what has happened since?
Project currently codenamed MOAT.
Imagine a game where Peter Molyneux presents an extraordinary set of ideas that players will enjoy for years to come. Now imagine that this particular game will come out because it will never exist.
One of the biggest reveals at this year's Xbox Games Showcase was the latest Fable trailer. After a lengthy stint of silence, Playground Games gave us a look at bits of the title, albeit in a trailer that was mostly made up of CGI nonsense headlined by comedian Richard Ayoade, who is playing a rather frustrated giant.
Molyneux asked about what he thought about the Fable reveal.
Joy Ride Turbo launched 10 years ago today. The first title was Xbox Kinect exclusive, yet this sequel failed to support the device at all.
Milo was never going to be a game from my understanding, just a tech demo and to show off what it could do. I think it was fable, but theya re using Milo tech in their games
To my understanding there was conflict between Molyneux and Aaron Greenburg from Microsoft. Greenburg claimed it was an internal tech demo but Molyneux hit back at the statement by saying people are misunderstanding Milo, whatever that means. But they did detail the game name as Milo & Kate, suggesting it was more than a tech demo.
