Add F1 2010 and soon to be 2011 to that list aswell :D great games

FishCake9T44686d ago

Gran turismo 5 sucked in my opinion. I thought GT4 was 10 times better than that peice of crap. Just my opinion though.

1. Gran Turismo 4
2. Gran Turismo 2
3. Any Colin McRea game before Dirt.
4. F1 2010
5. GRID

Lame list. Where's iRacing, GTR, Race pro, F355 challenge, GT5, Forza 3, pretty much every SimBin game and F1 2010. I guess my list is pretty much "Hardcore Sims", like iRacing, I don't know what the hell that list is. Although GT3 was great.

spektical4686d ago

no GT5 on this list, makes this a palpable one.

haters hate on GT5 because it took 5 years to make. its obvious through all the reviews.

Theonetheonly4685d ago

what about this list is palpable?

RGD4685d ago

Indeed, my omission of GT5 is based on the fact that I have not played it like i did the others (as i explained), and frankly, Rock n roll racers is not the most obvious of games xD

A Gran Turismo game in VR. That is sick!

I hope to God they fix the engine sounds. That is the only think that is holding this beauty and wjtb the PS4 power should be able to sound much better.

Mega243094d ago

Engine sounds have always been good. You are just comparing them to the competition which use exhaust sounds as engine sounds, and I get it, exhaust sounds way better, more menacing than engine sound.

This is the reason I have a playstation right now. Felt like a kind the minute the Polyphony logo appeared on screen during the presentation.

kneon3093d ago

People always complain about the sound in GT, completely forgetting that it should sound like it would when sitting in the car with a racing helmet on, not as if you were being dragged behind the car.

Qrphe3093d ago

Freaking this, holy crap people are dumb

Liqu1d3093d ago (Edited 3093d ago )

They hired a sound director from Forza, so hopefully that's a sign that'll be improved. Hopefully the physics will be improved as well.

pandehz3093d ago

I was about to say that.

Ripped a lil bit of the Forza feel.

All good though if it makes it better

AizenSosuke3094d ago

VR+Real prizes= Wow Sony is not playing!

S2Killinit3094d ago

Haha yeah just what i was thinking. I love how you can support your country or favorite manufacturer's team.

S2Killinit3093d ago (Edited 3093d ago )

that music. (: makes you wanna go racing.

Its a great idea that you can support your manufacturer, it provides more incentive to race. Kind of like how you want the car you own to do well in a race. Subaru FTW (:

TheOnlyMastrx3093d ago

I dont much care for GT or Forza Motorsport games, other kinds of racing games are alright but these arent for me. That being said, this looks awesome, and to be one of the first PSVR supported games will make it even better, will probably pick this one up at some point a while after release.

rezzah3093d ago

lol I'll never win because I'm not good at these games, though I wish I was because I grew up with Grand Turismo.

GameSpy: Gran Turismo Review

Ultimately, even if you live for careers and season modes, even if you get your kicks from online competition, and even if you like your racing a bit less difficult, you shouldn't completely write off Gran Turismo. The game clearly leans backward rather than forward in some respects, but it bears repeating: What it does in the tiny PSP world, it does well.
