Kojima said that his next game will have transferring between PS3 and NGP so does that mean that this engine is possible on the device! wow!

VampiricDragon4705d ago (Edited 4705d ago )

he didnt say that directly. What he said is he wants his games to be multiplat from now on

which probably means ps3/xbbx

Wheres your source?

Because at this event which is even more current

he said that this game will be ps3/360 multiplat

shikamaroooo4705d ago

no he really did say that when the NGP was revealed that his next game will be transferable between ps3 and NGP and that more will be revealed at E3

Shackdaddy8364705d ago (Edited 4705d ago )

IDK why people disagreed because they really did say multiplat... You can go look it up... Multiplat usually means it isn't confined to one company.

Edit: 3rd paragraph http://ps3.ign.com/articles...

"The demonstration was run using an Xbox 360 dev kit, but the engine is built to run on PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and other advanced gaming platforms."

limewax4705d ago

Nope its going to be for all of them, this demo along with the screenshots were actually taken from the 360 version (watched the live stream)

NateCole4705d ago

It multi-plat as in multi-consle

The fact that Konami is relasing the previous MGS on x360 with the HD collection means the next real Kojima game will be multi-plat. I am almost certain of this. i.e the next MGS game will be on the x360 as well.

Its an end of an era but i guess its time.

SilentNegotiator4705d ago

Maybe by multi-plat.....he could have possibly meant PS3, 360, NGP, and 3DS!

Or any combination of a few!

Or we could keep speculating on something we have no idea about.

Obviously, with all of his emphasis on the NGP and PS3 being so easily compatible, there's a GOOD chance that he will be working with Ps3/NGP. And it's not like Konami is alien to the 3DS and 360 (MGS3 port, Rising).

Trevonn4705d ago

MGS5 will still be ps exclusive because dvd is way way way too small kojimas visions

Arnon4705d ago

I guess it sucks for you to hear that he wants his titles to be multi-platform now, huh?

nveenio4704d ago

I can believe this is a multiplat engine just because it doesn't show off draw distance. It looks good, but the view out into the forest is only about 50 yards...

Looks really good, congrats Konami. Now to get Activision to make a new engine for Call of Booty.

Muffins12234705d ago

Crackdown graphics on crack...not impressive but if on ngp then yes

SilentNegotiator4705d ago

What?
CLEARLY we didn't see the same screens.

The ones I saw weren't cartoony at all and had really nice lighting effects.

Simon_Brezhnev4705d ago

The graphics look ok. Im sick of all this damn MGS. Kojima needs a new ip ASAP. Im really starting to hate this HD collection. I bought PS3 for next gen gaming not last gen games.

Jio4705d ago

In the 3rd picture, that dog is huge!

Dipso4704d ago

Rhodesian ridgeback, they are massive in reality.

SunnyBoy4705d ago

looks abit like uncharted 1 from back in the days.

F4sterTh4nFTL4705d ago (Edited 4705d ago )

PC, PS3, Xbox 360 or maybe also Wii 2.

BeastlyRig4705d ago (Edited 4705d ago )

here!

His hand was hovering over the mouse but he used a 360 controller. I think he was implying that pc is an option for the engine! Maybe he shat his pants when he watched BF3 trailer!

Wheres Silent Hill,
Wheres MGS,
No one gives a F**K about PES

Ninjamonkey821373d ago

Tbh without kojima i'd not play MGS. Im a fan off both games you speak off but, PES is still a good football game and theres a great deal off players give a crap about it.

vivid831373d ago

A lot of people give a F**K about PES actually

RaidenBlack1373d ago

Need a potent dev for MGS.
If an internal team is going to handle the project, then which game engine will they use?
Fox Engine like MGSurvive? Or will they also transition to UE?
MGS series is known for using state of the art proprietary game engines.

Nacho_Z1373d ago

That's great but for gods sake let's have a new commentary team with all new dialogue and more intelligent analysis. Great way to make a game feel stale out of the box when they're saying the exact same stuff they were five years ago.

Commentary isn't important in itself but it's an example of how they leave some things to stagnate while focusing on tiny improvements in animations.

Metal Gear Solid 3 on The FOX Engine is Too Good To be True

What if Metal Gear Solid 3 (argubly the best in the series) gets remade in MGS V’s FOX Engine. YouTuber kur ko04 gives us an idea. While definitely not official, it certainly looks pretty beli…

affrogamer2683d ago

good lawd!! I still pray for that day!

mikeslemonade2682d ago (Edited 2682d ago )

3 is Simply the best MGS in the series. 4 too linear and cod like. And 5 is too boring making you travel quest to quest.

I3loggs242682d ago

mgs3 is pretty great but nothing beats mgs1, and mgs2 is a masterpiece in terms of creativity and execution.

Gitgud2682d ago

my fav is MGS 2, but you shutting down 4 like that is bs. 5 had it's mistakes, but the game is still amazing.

bouzebbal2682d ago (Edited 2682d ago )

MGS3 is definitely the best in the series by far and is my first MGS.
I actually just played the jungle level in U4 yesterday and this video is really not that impressive. It's okay!
Vegetation is actually better animated in the original Snake Eater.
The title is very deceiving, as always *roll eyes*

2pacalypsenow2682d ago (Edited 2682d ago )

Lol MGS 3 was just as linear as 4, in fact every metal gear solid game before PW was linear. And how was it COD like?

morganfell2682d ago (Edited 2682d ago )

MGS4. My favorite title still...of any game. A reveal unlike any other.

Who is Darth Revan? Pffft.

Nothing beats the mind blowing reality of Debriefing Naked Son. A massive sleight of hand 20 years in the making when the truth of the Metal Gear series is at last uncovered. A revelation no one saw coming as they thought the game had ended and assumed they knew the very simple facts.

Kojima Rick Rolled the world. And it features my favorite voice actor from the entire series - Richard Doyle, the guy I wish would have had the same role in MGS5.

Massive Spoilers for the uninitiated

Exvalos2683d ago

This will never happen. Because you know....Konami

PapaBop2683d ago

Wouldn't it? I don't see Konami making a new MGS game any time soon, if they decided they want another slice of the console market, they'd be far better off taking the safer option and remaking the old MGS games and they have spent a fair bit of money on the fox engine, would be a waste to see it not used.

Timesplitter142683d ago (Edited 2683d ago )

Konami ARE making a new MGS right now. It looks like garbage, but it is a new MGS

_-EDMIX-_2682d ago

We might be more likely for something like that as opposed to a new game.

rezzah2681d ago

Even if it does happen I won't touch it because it's Konami.

hirobrotagonist2683d ago (Edited 2682d ago )

well, that's just like...you know...your opinion man.

And it's wrong.

gninja92, Please educate me more with your seventh grade education on how opinions can't be wrong like I don't already know that since I was quite obviously being facetious; oh great professor of logic. Especially considering I'm almost a decade older than you based on your username. I feel like an asshole for even having to take the time to explain this.

"An opinion is not wrong. right and wrong only apply to facts. not opinions." What about an opinion based purely on lack of empirical reasoning? What about an opinion based on incorrect facts? Sure you can say, "I didn't like Snake Eater" but to say it's a bad game based on criteria that would make a game good, this is wrong. Saying something isn't good isn't purely an opinion. It's an opinion with incorrect assumptions of certain facts.

"Get over it, not everyone dick rides Snake eater. "

I guess that's how Snake Eater is different from your mom. Though she does have the same nickname (Snake Eater)

sullynathan2683d ago

I am actually right. This game isn't good.

gninja922682d ago (Edited 2682d ago )

An opinion is not wrong. right and wrong only apply to facts. not opinions.

You are wrong however for claiming that his opinion can be wrong in the first place.

Get over it, not everyone dick rides Snake eater.
i liked it too, in fact i probably logged more hours over the years in snake eater than any other mgs, but i still liked sons of liberty the most

TheOptimist2683d ago

Wow first time I agree with you lol

sullynathan2683d ago (Edited 2682d ago )

aren't hipsters the one that actually think Metal Gear has good writing, story and design?

Lynx02072682d ago

Today people don't understand what does "hipster" really mean.

G20WLY2682d ago

Of course you have...

Newmanator2682d ago

Google "MGS3 Review Scores." You will see the error of your ways dear child

sullynathan2682d ago

Taking reviews seriously?

Newmanator2681d ago

When the scores are unanimous, yes I do take them seriously Mr Sullynathan :)

thepluggy2682d ago

You were probably to young to have played it.

sullynathan2682d ago

Can't even spell correctly.
