Don't be upset if you cannot get the update immediately. I have reports from friends in europe that have fragmented but functioning service. The network may not stabilise for several hours, so chillout yall.

When PSN goes back up, it should prompt you to change your password. The update is just a regular update which prepares your system for PSN's return. So far PSN is not back online, but soon hopefully.

There's no problem. You probably just left the "Shut system off after update" option checked when you began the update.

When PSN is restored, then you will be prompted to change your password. They can't do it without PSN online.
