Oh snap, I guess those leak stuff are legit. Rumor was that it was supposed to be shown during the eastern conference finals and and officially on the NBA finals. Shit just got real with battlefield 3. At least Dice isn't sucking Microsoft dick for giving exclusive map packs for a time period.

Winter47th4721d ago (Edited 4721d ago )

I hope Hans Zimmer gets back on this one.

Btw, there's one thing certain, no matter how much hate, disagrees or bad publicity you guys make at this game, it'll still shatter entertainment records so the more hate you piss on it the more y'all will look like idiots when this game releases so really, what's the point? you're only lying to your selves which is even more sad. Bygones be bygones and all that, good day.

Both BF3 & MW3 will release the same day, you wanna support BF3, go for it, want MW3? no one's stopping you. Frankly i'm getting both.

But I'd bet my nuts that EA's making a ****ton of meetings at their offices right about now discussing whether they should delay BF3 instead of bending over to this commercial behemoth day1 which is funny already lol.

rob60214721d ago (Edited 4721d ago )

@Winter47th

I'm a fan of Hans Zimmer, but I don't think his scores really fit in with such a soulless uninspired story in a game. Sad music doesn't go with a game that puts you in the role of a soldier killing thousands of people.

arjman4721d ago

@rob6201
Play the chopper level with surround sound and come and day it's soulless

TomInc4721d ago

@Winter I'm with Rob. I dont think his style really fits and is given as much freedom with CoD. I love Zimmers work in most the things he does. That said I don't know who would be good otherwise.. so its kinda a "restrict him / put him in a place he shouldnt be..? or not"

limewax4720d ago (Edited 4720d ago )

Most intense soundtrack to me has to be from WaW. The mission taking down the boats, Now that was fun, probably my favorite bit of any CoD

http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Sad music will never fit a war game the way this track fitted this scene. The adrenaline was pumping for the first time for me in a COD single player experience, all thanks to the soundtrack epically fitting the scene.

LOL actually want to re-buy the game just for this level again hope I still have it somewhere. Rest of the game wasn't so great though

jony_dols4720d ago

More of this Russian separatist force invading the US crap.....
They could at least make it believable, and have China or some Iranian-led united middle east army attacking.

AEtherbane4720d ago

The game will be good... and by that I mean no different than any of the previos COd games and therefore terrible.

Look like as another crap mod for CoD 4:MW? yes...new CoD.

soooo..

kingjoker344721d ago

now whaat if by chance that this game will actually turn out good? then all you people disagreeing without any reason will jsut look dumb. You dont know the talent in raven soft or sledgehammer so give it a CHANCE.

AtomicGerbil4721d ago

Still the same puppet master though.

Ravenor4720d ago

What are the chances of that? I'm no stranger to CoD, I started with the first and if you think for a moment that the cash in's: MW2 and Black Ops (Least WaW had bigger maps and tanks) aren't clear indicators of where the series is going you need your head examined.

Why would they change the "Winning" formula, all "regular-casual Gamers" want is shallow, small maps and new settings. Modern Warfare 3 is going to have far more similar with past games then signs of improvement.

Also I haven't been impressed with Raven since their last Star Wars title and Sledgehammer is newly formed, sure they have some ex talent but they're working with 2 other studios on what is probably Activisions second biggest money maker and the one with the most mainstream appeal.

Time will tell whether the CoD crowd that sprung up realizes they've been buying the same game repeatedly and find a new game or just stop gaming all together.

CoD has had many chances, I think we all deserve the right to doubt it by now.

GMWPS34720d ago

I want to give it a chance. I'm hoping it is actually better than MW2. However, the Russian invasion story is just ridiculous! I'd sooner believe an alien invasion story than a Russian invasion. As I always say, a good story is important to give players a reason to get pulled into the game world. As it stands now this is just going to be a tad bland.

Well, here is to hoping they can really give a good story out of this scenario.

davidmccue4721d ago (Edited 4721d ago )

There are 4 teaser trailers from England, Germany, France as well as the America one shown in the article check them out all out at http://www.gamer4eva.com/20...

All of them are slighty different

hamburger1234721d ago

Even the teasers look exactly the same as MW2. Arent they gonna change anything?

DeadlyFire4721d ago

nah MW 2 was just squiggly lines and lights. this one shows a city and then goes empty. Yes its still green though.

HardcoreGamer4720d ago

WAKE UP AMERICA, Would be a good idea for a story.

NatureOfLogic4720d ago (Edited 4720d ago )

I've already fallen for the hype. Need me MW fix.

according to a poster on youtube:

"you want to hear a joke? COD, LOL"

EDIT: just saying...

BeAGamer4721d ago

I'm buying Battlefield 3 as well
what's your point? :D

Dart894721d ago (Edited 4721d ago )

Let the hype begin only to be disappointed.

Edit:Disagree fairies on the lose::D.

Imtey4721d ago

I doubt there will be anywhere near as much hype as MW2 what with BF3 coming out and with COD being so milked.

Roozium4720d ago

Yeah people said that when Black Ops was realesed and still that game broke records.

Trunkz4720d ago (Edited 4720d ago )

Sales does not = Quality.

I bought Black ops and found it to be no different then any other CoD's I've played (I skipped MW2) so they won't be making any sales from me or others that feel the same.

Besides, BF3 back on PC with 64 players will be selling huge, and consoles being able to fly jets is icing on the cake.

Call of Duty Players Disappointed by $80 B.E.A.S.T. Glove Bundle Deal

Recently, players of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone were met with a new bundle featuring the B.E.A.S.T. Glove, inspired by King Kong's armament in the Godzilla x Kong movie. However, the $80 price tag attached to this themed accessory left many Call of Duty fans feeling underwhelmed.

Morons that allow themselves to be milked continuously by this company is the definition of irony.
Spend more $$ and you'll end up In easier lobbies so you win both ways when ya spend that cash

Controversy in the COD community feels like it happens within an alternate timeline. Activision will take the piss with something, there will be a momentary fuss about it, and then they will forget about it and carry on anyway. Repeat this cycle literally every year for the rest of time.

Gridknac4d ago

They call that a crack head! Thats what this is really about, its an addiction. People who dont smoke cigarettes look and laugh at the addicts that spend $8-$10 a pack, but they cant help themselves, they are addicted. That same analogy applies perfectly to the whole MT industry. Only an addict that was not thinking clearly would spend this kind of money on something so frivolous. A round of multiplayer provides the same high a person gets from scratching a lotto ticket, or putting money on a sports bet. MT in general need to really be regulated because you have a generation of kids becoming adults who grew up only knowing the MT era of gaming. Its normal to them and they will in turn teach their kids the same by just being a gaming parent and getting their kids involved with them in gaming. Thats why no matter how ridiculous the headlines keep getting out of the MT industry, it never seems to fade or go away.

X-233d ago

I'm so tired of hearing about what they're doing with this game, its never going to change and it's never going to value the consumer over money, furthermore the people who engage so heavily in the microtransactions I guess allegedly are having a blast and can't wait to do it some more this year when the new version of the game drops.

Cheech And Chong Are Coming To Call Of Duty Because Everything Must Be Consumed

The famous comedy duo is the latest example of pop culture becoming one big grey blob

Christopher19d ago

Certain to have some sort of reference to their online store for CBD/THC chews, which is advertising heavily online the last month or two.

Sciurus_vulgaris19d ago

The randomness of the multiplayer characters is one of reason I quit playing COD after briefly returning in 2022. We got Space Marines, rappers, tree monsters etc. all in a series called “ Modern Warfare”.

OtterX18d ago (Edited 18d ago )

I think if there was ever a time for a competitor to rise up and take away some of Call of Duty's thunder, the time would be now. A military shooter that takes itself seriously, not sold out to Fortnitism. Easier said than done, I know... but the time is ripe.

I can't stand this stuff either.

Palitera18d ago

There are tons of MP shooters that make no profit, if you're looking for one of those

fsfsxii18d ago

You guys have been saying this shit since 2009. Fortunately, nobody’s bringing down cod anytime soon, if ever.

crazyCoconuts18d ago

I agree. I really didn't like how the silliness takes away the gritty origins. That and all the crazy effects... dunno. I'm still playing it but I'd love for someone to steal their cheese and cater to grittier players

OtterX18d ago

@fsfsxii It's not so much wanting COD itself to die as it is wanting this silliness to die. Like CrazyCoconuts said, it takes from the grittiness. Many OG COD players want a straightup Military shooter experience, not silly costume time at Carnival.

is this what the kids want these days a pair of iconic stoners who were big in the 70s and have kind of held on I enjoyed their movies decades ago but I never recall the movie where cheech infiltrates a enemy base while chong snipes for support guess I must of missed that one

Man I'm getting to old for this

Knightofelemia19d ago (Edited 19d ago )

Cheech just looks so wrong in the picture.

Profchaos18d ago

Why just why. cod up in smoke

anast18d ago

They charge too much for a game that is kitsch.

MW3 missed its easiest opportunity to give us some of the best Call of Duty maps ever made

From Bootleg to Black Box, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 made a heartbreaking mistake by not remastering the bizarrely forgotten maps from its namesake.
