Xbox Kinect Kia Optima Sweepstakes with N4G

Hey, N4Gers! Have we got a contest for you…The Xbox Kinect Kia Optima Sweepstakes!

Kia Motors America (KMA) is the automotive sponsor of Xbox Kinect. Now through the end of April XBL users will get to check out the latest Kia Optima ads and download KIa Optima content, themes, and gamer pics. If users DL Kia content and register to play Kinect Sports on specific Play & Win dates, they have a chance to win prizes like MS Points and Gold memberships.

To enter the sweepstakes, players must DL the month's free Kia Optima Registration Pic gamer picture, login to LIVE, and play Kinect Sports during the official Play and Win dates. Five grand prize winners will be selected per entry period to win 1600 MS Points. Five bonus prize winners will be chosen in May to win one 12-month Gold membership.

I had to read that twice, for a minute I thought it said you could win Kinect Sports and a 360 Kinect Bundle by Playing Kinect Sports, and I was like 'Whaa?'

My favourite element of Kinect is that the majority of the games are designed specifically with the peripheral in mind, not just simply as an alternative to a regular controller. I know it's usually the first thing to be brought up when discussing Kinect, but Dance Central in the primary example of this. It delivers a totally different experience which dance mats, or other motion controllers on the market, would not be able to replicate.

Also, i'm very excited to see what comes out of "Codename D". As i'm a big fan of the works from Grasshopper Manufacture.

The best element of Kinect is by far the PC support thats on the way. The things developers are using Kinect for in the PC world is astonishing. PC Developers using it to model 3D elements using their bodies, and the Kinect tracker. The thought of what it can bring in the future for PC developers is mind-boggling.

While I was a doubter at first, the Kinect has really come of age since its launch and while I'm still waiting for cool games, I'm very impressed with the ingenuity of Kinect's tech. One of favorite elements of the kinect is bridging the gap between "hardcore gamers" and "casual gamers". Making it easy and fun to play games with your girlfriend,or even her parents..

I also love how microsoft is allowing people to hack the kinect and how people are doing some amazing things with it(one of my favorite hacks so far is the kid playing Super mario)..Loving the way microsoft is pushing the way we think to play games..Now I just wait for halo and gears kinect games :).

I enjoy the fact that my fiancee, who used to enjoy playing nintendo as a child is able to play Kinect now. My fiancee always wanted to play video games with me but had trouble manipulating a controller with dual analogs. She has attempted on multiple occassions to do so, but became easily frustrated and gave up. Now, with Kinect, she is now able to have the experience to play great games with ease. No longer is the controller holding her back. She is the controller. She has enjoyed it so much when we play it at our friend's house, we were eager in getting one in the near future. It's really nice to have my fiancee enjoy something that brings me such great enjoyment.
