Retro review of one of the early pioneers of multiplayer FPS action. EA should own the license to this now, given it picked up other Bullfrog titles (such as Theme Park), so it's about time Magic Carpet got a new lease on life:
Aside from a visual upgrade, there isn’t a whole lot we’d like to see changed for a Magic Carpet reboot. Online multiplayer would be necessary, and an expanded range of enemies would help, but for the most part, Magic Carpet could survive intact in the modern era.
In the next adventure from Ion Fury; We get Phantom Fury and here is the opening level in action.
PSLS writes: I have traveled across the country using the Razer Kishi Ultra in airports and hotels for both PlayStation Remote Play and mobile gaming in general, and I am thoroughly impressed.
Stellar Blade might be the hot game right now, but we already got a better version of it more than half a year ago.
Stellar blade is currently higher than lies of p on metacritic with 40 more reviews. No shade on Lies of P but just pointing that out.
But i don't even know why compare them? Because both are souls type games?
Then you can just reuse this article all the time and say Elden Ring is "whatever new souls game" but good for every new souls game.
Stellar blade hate articles must be rolling with clicks...
I mean… it’s like saying we have a better NieR with Devil May Cry. Yea, there’s some similarities, but Lies is really hardcore in the sense of emulating a FromSoft game almost perfectly, where Stellar has some Souls-like elements, but I’d say it’s closer to Sekiro than say a Dark Souls game. This almost feels click-baitey
Oh geez...this is why journos suck...they can't even see differences between games.
Stellar blade is nothing like lies of P. Didn't these guys give stellar a bad score? Geez they really hate it. Stop the hate! Lol
I thought Magic Carpet was downright awful (on PSOne at least) :P. I was even more upset when I only later found out it was made by BullFrog, which was one of my favorites at the time with Theme Park/Hospital and Dungeon Keeper.
Good on you for giving this ugly duckling some attention though. Always nice to see people sticking with the underdog.
I played this a long long time ago in my really slow Compaq Presario PC. Damn, desktop made a lot of noise.
how can we forget? :-)
They should release it on the NGP via playstationsuit. That would be great. Also i would like to see a remake of Twensens Odyssey
I still have a version for my Saturn. Bought it in Japan and the manual is Japanese but the game itself is english.
Very fun game...
Recommend anyone that is looking for something new then get this OLD game on PSN. Would be nice If I could get an XBLA version.
