I wish i could see it more clearly. But the video-creator loves to speed things up so i can barely see HOW good it looks.

I guess this mod increases required specs a bit

at 2:30 I was like :O

Now if only multiplats were able to look that good on PC without mods.

Its sad because multiplat games usually only look slightly better than console versions with the main differences being resolution, frame rate, draw distance.

The lighting, shaders, post processing, etc usually remain the same.

If only developers put more effort onto the PC versions.

TheLastGuardian4848d ago

The city still looks as boring as ever. I hope the next GTA is set in Vice City.

ChrisW4848d ago

I don't think it'll be Vice City. Rumor mill has the next location overseas... Maybe something similar to London.

"multiplat games usually only look slightly better than console versions with the main differences being resolution, frame rate, draw distance."

"The lighting, shaders, post processing, etc usually remain the same."

LOL. Keep telling yourself that. They have higher res textures also, and can render many hdr effects the consoles can't even do, not to mention AA. Take BFBC2 for exapmple looks light years ahead of the consoles.

@ChrisW

Actually, the only confirmation we have of a location is from Rockstar. On the back page of the manual for Stories From Liberty City on the 360 there is a small teaser saying "See you next time" or something, with an image underneath. Supposed to look like someone put a poster on top of an image and it is torn to reveal part of the image beneath. The image was discovered to be from a billboard from Vice City.

Not much of a confirmation, but enough to actually give credence to the possibility it will be in Vice City.

WAW PC is so powerfull with the right rigs.

ct034849d ago

I'm not usually into mods, but this looks very impressive. Will need to try it out.

SpLinT4849d ago

GTa4 taught me that online open-world games FAIL. Too big

DoomeDx4849d ago

GTA4 with mods is bloody awesome. trust me

Spawning a halfpipe on one of the big bridges is great fun! See taxi's and motorbikes jump over the halfpipe and fail misserbly.

Or use the Car Tune trainer. Paint your car, change the weight, handling, suspension, height, etc etc.

Great fun dude.

multipayer4848d ago

Also, GTA4 pc is 32 players online... But yeah, it still isn't enough. Hopefully when Red Dead Redemption comes out on PC a bit later this year, they'll try for 64 or higher. 32 is still twice as nice though.

Looking Back At 2008, An Unbelievably Incredible Year Of Video Game Releases

Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."

CrimsonWing692h ago

I don’t think anything can compare to 2023

lucasnooker2h ago

1998 - the best year in gaming! Metal gear solid, crash bandicoot 3, medievil, half life, ocarina of time, thief, tenchu, resident evil 2, Spyro, tomb raider 3, oddworld abes exodus, banjo kazooie.

It was a different breed of a gaming era. You’ll never understand what it was like back then. The aura of gaming, it was different!

KyRo1h ago(Edited 1h ago)

I second this. Gaming was a lot more varied and fun than it is today. I'm 35 so getting on compared to some here but I got to see all the changes from NES up to now but I've never felt so disappointed in any generation than I have this current gen. I was expecting more from this generation rather than prettier versions of games that came before it. Game mechanics have become so refined that alot of games feel the same and has done for a while now.

Maybe it's time to have a break for a while. I love gaming but I don't feel I get much fun in the traditional sense out of it anymore.

Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 2, Abe’s Exodus, and Ocarina of Time are the only things from that list that I liked.

Here’s the 2023 game releases that I personally liked… and big releases that I didn’t care for:

- Dead Space Remake
- Wo Long Dynatsy
- Resident Evil 4 Remake
- Diablo 4
- Fire Emblem Engage
- Hogwarts Legcay
- Street Fighter 6
- Hi-Fi Rush
- Like a Dragon: Ishin
- Octopath Traveler 2
- Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters
- Final Fanatsy XVI (actually ended up not liking this, but it was still a big deal release)
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
- Lies of P
- Mortal Kombat 1
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Starfield (Ended up hating this one, but big release)
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder
- Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (I’m an old-school Zelda fan, but didn’t really enjoy this game)
- Alan Wake 2

I mean, honestly I’ve never seen a year of major IP releases like that, ever.
