Bethesda’s motion to dismiss Interplay's claims – DENIED

Here's another episode of our continued coverage of the Bethesda vs. Interplay courtroom drama. During a motion hearing held earlier today, Bethesda's motion to dismiss Interplay's counterclaim is denied. The judge also demands additional documentation from Interplay.

I think mainly they are fighting way too much over something silly, honestly they should just split the profits 50/50. I mean fallout is already popular enough, so alot of people will buy it.

Bethesda should feel a bit ashamed of trying to prevent a game from the damn creator of the game franchise .

Bethesda should just drop fallout its elder Scrolls that made them huge and elder Scrolls that they will always shine at making...fallout 3 and NV were just bad BROWN clones in my opinion

if Interplay should never have licensed Bethesda the right to use Fallout, its there own damn fault...Bathesda made Fallout a popular series..now Interplay wants to back out and make there own game. Interplay...just go back to making PC games no one plays.

And that's not really the point for some of us . We aint lawyer , nor copyrights lobbyist ... from a human standpoint bethesda's attitude is pathetic , when they are already making so much money from the franchise .

They were fine with interplay releasing a mmo , and now they feel it's taking too much time ? Wich mmo ever got released in time anyway ? They just smelled more money and want full control .

I'm not sure what's Beth's problem is, do they object to Interplay's MMO because they want to do their own, is that it? Because if not, they need to STFU. They're making it sounds like they invented Fallout which they did not. The only thing they bought to the table is their engine, the art style, the lore, the perks, all came from Interplay.

These guys are not Bioware, they don't have the creativity to flesh out new IPs on their own.

iMO, fallout tactics was the last fallout game made, fallout 3 is a spin off, a sub standard spin off

Well i enjoyed the games even if they are a spin off, but sub-standard, going from a simple bird eye view game like balders gate vs a massive open world game is a dramatic change in engine and coding wise.

So stupid comparison really, i do enjoy the whole fallout universe/style i guess i just not a picky ass hardcore rts fallout guy.

Overall fallout 3 was better than new vega in my opinion.
