Virtual Air Guitar explains why Kung-Fu Live didn't make Kinect

Anyway I bet this will come to kinect and will work much better with kinect. I have it for ps3 and getting the right lighting conditions is a pain in the arse. Kinect will eliminate these lighting problems.

Its a fun game when you do achieve the right lighting conditions, not a "lame game"

It wouldn't sell very well in it's current form. Even the weakest fighting game on Kinect has you face the fighter on screen. It would be to odd, even for the kid I think.

Game is pretty fun actually, I like it. Not a lot of games that use the PS Eye this effectively.

The lighting requirements are a pain in the ass though, but when it works it's great.

Reading between the lines, Microsoft wouldn't give them access to Kinect unless they agreed to make the game exclusive? What else could he mean with the dig about marketing plans?

I mean, I know that's the way that company works, but damn.

It could be either way, could be Sony wanted to keep it exclusive and it could be Microsoft did as well. If both of them were asking for exclusivity it would make sense that they would stick with Sony since they would have already had access to the PS Eye dev kits given these statements.

That doesn't really make sense. It was Kinect units they couldn't get access to, because of somebody's marketing plans. If Sony was trying to lock them into exclusivity, that certainly wouldn't affect Microsoft's ability to provide units.

There's also the matter of past history: MS have established a pattern of playing hardball for exclusivity. But everyone can judge for themselves, until & unless the developer clarifies their statements.

If the marketing plans were, "go exclusive" it would make perfect sense. Everything is pretty much just speculation at this point.

If memory serves right, developers had gotten dev kits for Kinect just before E3 2009 so I'm also curious to see when these guys applied.
