Yo I put hundred of hours in Warhawk. I was in the beta, got the full game day one, download only at the time. Got all the DLC, Jetpacks was the truth. Bottomline, it still is one of my fav multiplayer games. In my book clearly rated a 10 on the fun level.

I think Resistance 1 was really fun online. It was overshadowed by Gears and the $500 and $600 launch price of the PS3.

And another nod to Gran Turismo 5. It's just a shame that the game is getting such low reviews. And to put salt on the wound it's so scoring lower than Forza 3. Realistically you can't really expect more than what GT5 is offering other than the annoying load times.

I still think that Uncharted 2 is the most underrated game of all time. That's right. I think that the most award-winning game of this generation is also the most underrated. I think its 96 score on Metacritic is too low. But, I also think this is okay because it leaves room for U3 to do a 99. :P

@Shadow Flare I completely agree with you! Warhawk is an epic game and always gets overlooked.

I was on the EU Beta and two of my mates brought a PS3 just for that game.

Warhawk is such a slick game and when you consider the size of the maps, 32 players online and both ground and air combat the game is pure multiplayer brilliance.

By far the best 3rd person multiplayer shooter on the market today. I'm just looking forward to Lightbox Interactives new game now :-).

You should pick it up, you can get it for pretty cheap now and have the chance to get the bundled maps at a lower price. The game is brilliant. There are still plenty of people playing the game day in, day out.

I think it's a great game, one of the most balanced games online.
With a great ranking up system, Alot of medals and such to attain also.

Right now GT5 should get in this category too.

It's not getting that bad reviews score wise for now as had MAG earlier this year, but every site is complaining that a game with "The Real Driving Simulator" as a subtitle is a great (or even the best, as said IGN) racing sim, but it won't allow you to have quick fun running at other people and walls and looking at incredible car crashes... In other words, by the time the 5th entry on the franchise comes, this guys are complaining that Gran Turismo isn't Burnout... Who hire this people? Should as well complain that there aren't machine guns attached to the hoof.

That's just as stupid as people that reviewed MAG expecting somekind of generic COD feel.

Warhawk is not underrated (meta 84). It is overlooked. MAG is underrated (meta 76), IMO it should be at least 80.

I played it for over 100 hours as well and I can easily say it is one of the funnest multiplayer games ive ever played. The DLC was amazing.

I definitely agree. Think about it. Warhawk has built up a huge fanbase with this one game and people love it. Plus, look at the amount of things that you can do in it. If Starhawk has a SP campaign(a good one) and even more of what made warhawk great, I can easily see this being the ps3's halo(though it might need a little help from advertising of course)

Oh yeah, I forgot. Though correct me if I'm wrong(I never played the first one either) isnt this one drastically different?

Man, this is one of those early ps3 games that always interested me(although after playing the demo the graphics/animations slightly turned me off). From all of the stories of the things I hear people doing I felt like I needed this game. Too bad everyone who plays now is pro. Oh well, fingers crossed for that Starhawk reveal in December

Resistance Fall of Mans multiplayer. It was by far the best online game when it was in it's prime. I would rate it up there with halo 3 online. It's still the best multiplayer experience on ps3. It's a shame how they absolutely butchered Resistance 2 though

This is a great game. To be honest I've not played it in awhile (I haven't played any kind of online mode in awhile) but for anyone that wants a fun multiplayer thats a tough nut to crack but has a satisfying, creamy centre once you're in, this is definately up your street.

I believe ModNation Racers is incredibly underrated. People seem to hate or brush it off for no reason. It did have some problems with the AI and loading (which both have been fixed) but apart from that it was really funny, versatile and balanced game. Not to mention the creation tools were really robust. I don't get the PS3 gamer community at times..

Yeah,I agree. Admittedly I skipped on the game also because of load times, other games, money etc but I definitely need to pick it up. I was surprised for how hype I was for that game. It was almost to Gow3 levels

I was very excited about ModNationRacers, it was shaping up to be a great game with all the customisation and user creativity. Loading times are not make or break for me so I wasnt woried about that.

Only problem tho, was when I downloaded the demo I expected to be greeted with the kind of excitement you get when you play a game of mario kart. Mario kart has bright colours, fun music and cute characters which all add to the fun but ModNation Racers to me, was very bland with 'grey' colours, and no inspiration.

This is just my opinion from thirty minutes or so messing about on the demo but it really didnt grab me and I was left underwhelmed.

After playing MNR for an extended period I don't see how I could ever go back to that under balanced, cheap laggy excuse for a racing game. Flashy colors and catchy music may be enough for you, but for people that want depth, balanced gameplay and the ability to be able to use their creativity MNR is ten times as "inspired" whatever that buzzword people love throwing around is suppose to mean.

Mario kart has been fun for two decades, modnation racers is no where near in the same league as it. To me, it was missing the charm and most importantly the fun.

Honestly, the fact that I didn't enjoy modnation racers has been the biggest let down for me this gen because I've always wanted a game to rival mario kart on my playstation. Hasn't happened yet though...

I belive the most underrated PS3 game is Valkria Chronicles or maybe Folklore.

Warhawk got alot great scores just it didnt got much attention but RPG´s are even below that specially the japanese ones.

Valkria Chronicles hand's down, warhawk is also a rather great game. both are real gem's that i think are grat on game play , not the best in graphic's but that's what these game's are about their art style direction and general replability are top notch in my Book.

1: Shooting down a dropship with a binocular airstrike (nets you a gold trophy if i recall correctly)

2: While on foot, going "toe-to-toe" with a warhawk and shooting it down with my assault rifle.

3: Shooting down a warhawk with the tank's cannon (hard to do since those buggers move faster than the turret, also another gold trophy).

Haven't played the game in a couple years, but i did have a lot of fun with it. Bad thing for me is I usually stop playing a game right about the time i pay for DLC. Some of the most fun I had was the times I would get a vendetta against the tank that killed me, and stupidly run straight at it again and again hoping that my two grenades would be enough this time.

Hitting a warhawk with a TOW missile was cool too.

Also, when my team was owned by good flyers in Archipelago, and all that was left was a sniper, I'd hit a parked warhawk twice and wait for a pilot to jump into it before destroying it with a third bullet. It always made me giggle :)

warhawk is the most versatile MP game of all time. I spent 3000 hours on it and you can literally play it with all types of different styles. Thats why its the best Mp out there. I mean freaking 32 player matches with warhawks, huge giant drop ships, tanks, atv transport vehicles with shields, jetpacks turrets, missle and flak and tons of wepons all controlable and fun. Its like a real life warzone with jeeps and stuff blwoing up right in front of your face.

Can you name any other game that has all that stuff and is as balanced? I mean freaking warhawks blazing at the speed of sound on huge maps with ground troops and such?
Starhawk will blow us all away thats a given.

I just love how balanced out the game is. You're pretty much on equal footing using either a Warhawk, in a vehicle, or on foot.

Yeah, you might have speed on your side in a Warhawk, but try hovering around a main spawn point for more than 10 seconds...I guarantee a swift death by either Rocket Launcher, Assault Rifle..or both....maybe even Anti-Air Rockets from half the map away.

warhawk..still so good! i give the new games a try but i always find myself going back to warhawk. its just something about that game. the action both land and air, the constant explosions, stategy, and the custom music really has me still playin this game. and for ppl who plays this game on standard tvs are missin out. after playin this game on a standard set and then upgrading to an hd set, i couldnt believe how much better the game looked.

Like someone said, it got some decent review scores but it came out during a bad time for the PS3. Although the reviews for it are not many really(34?), which is surprising for a PS3 exclusive. Maybe because it was also D/L'able.

Anyway, it was an awesome Battlefield esque-game, and I actually think it is the best all out battlefield game there is on consoles. The servers are still populated after three years and a shitload of other releases. Incognito supported that game with patches, DLC, and online tournaments complete with prizes(how many other devs do that?). The game is pretty damn balanced, where Warhawks are not too much better than any other unit, but still top of the food chain.

I don't understand why this hasn't gotten any followup yet, it sold decent during a bad time for the PS3, and was regarded among the best PS3 multi-player games(still is IMHO). What is taking lightbox so long to just reveal whatever there project is? Ug

I logged 110 hours.Love the game but the last 20(and my recent play)were extremely frustrating.The balance was lost over time.
I did a lot of tank driving and at one point was pretty damn good.I used to shoot down Warhawks that I could just about see but with the change in machine guns,addition of jetpacks and lack of balancing for Warhawks,the tank became almost unplayable.I did pretty ok on foot too but Warhawks are a problem in that game(I know that's the name and maybe should be the focus).They have the best weapons,quickest to re supply those weapons and once the pilots reached a high level,could only be stopped by another Warhawk.
It's a shame for me and despite some pad tossing late frustration,I still rate it as one of my favourite multi players ever.
The loss of balance is pronounced and if you think Warhawks are not over powered then you've been lucky,I think.

When I got the game in Aug 2007 it was my most played game until Oct 2009 when Uncharted 2 came out...probably the best online game I've ever played and definetetly the most fun with so much things to do. Clocked in over 1300 hours on this beauty...cant wait for the Starhawk announcement

It would be humanely impossible to agree more than the amount I agree with you. Warhawk never got the reputation it deserved. It wasn't laggy, it was visually stunning and the gameplay was all together Fun to play. Warhawk 2 Best shit on the shelves and push the current shit out of the way. All this kinect and move crap... Why not stick with producing the game than how you play it. There isn't enough independent studios out there ..
