1UP: Plants vs. Zombies XBLA Review

Plants vs. Zombies makes a very impressive transition to Xbox Live Arcade. And it's just another great way for you to experience PopCap's unique brand of silliness, paired with high production values and eminently entertaining gameplay.

I love this game, I have the PC version, and the extended PC version, and I'll be getting this version soon.

... but sure as hell not going to pay 1200 points for it.

Such a shame that pretty much all new XBLA games are now being released for 1200 points. I can get new full retail games from the bargain bin at local shops for less, like Ninja Gaiden 2 or Mass Effect.

this game is worth it, but i already have on pc and my touch.

I have this for the iTouch. Really kills time when you got nothing to do.

Does this work with a joypad? I would expect it'd get too frantic. It's excellent on the iPhone touch

It works fantastic. Im not just saying this..... but it actually handle's better with the controller. I have the iPod touch version too and sometimes it can get a little complicated trying to place plants while collecting money and sun and changing plant types, but with the controller (xbox), it is so much quicker and easier to do all of that stuff.
Well thats my opinion anyway.

How a Plants vs. Zombies Game Died so a Star Wars Game Could Live (and Then Also Die)

From IGN: "In the second half of 2016, a small team of developers at PopCap Vancouver were gearing up for a presentation that would determine the future of their team, their project, and potentially an already-beloved franchise: Plants vs. Zombies.

For the past year, they had been working on a brand new Plants vs. Zombies adventure that would take the series in a very different direction. Though they had EA’s blessing for their work to that point, it wasn’t a guarantee the project would ultimately see the light of day, especially given how ambitious it was."
