A Brief, Surprise Glimpse at Aliens Colonial Marines

Gearbox Software's Randy Pitchford doesn't want you to think that the house of Borderlands and Duke Nukem Forever forgot about their Aliens game. To reassure people the project is alive, his team flashed screenshots of it at Gearbox's PAX panel.

Hope this game is sweet, its got everything needed for an epic FPS shooter game. AVP was decent, but nothing special.

Now if only someone can make a decent Terminator FPS...

Kerrby4974d ago

I've been wanting this game since 2008.

I WANT THIS GAME NOW!

The BS Police4974d ago (Edited 4974d ago )

Otherwise I would be pretty upset.

AntoineDcoolette4974d ago

Considering that ALIEN is my favorite movie franchise I want this game and I want it to be GOOD.

Speaking of which, are there any good ALIEN games at all?

The BS Police4974d ago (Edited 4974d ago )

There was Alien Trilogy for the Sega Saturn, PC and PS1 back in 1996. I use to play it all the time years ago.

sarshelyam4974d ago

...man, I was obsessed with the movie, and equally so the Genesis iteration. I don't know what it was but it was ample doses of tension and good platforming with great weapons. Quite a well made Alien game.

lolzers4974d ago

There's also the AVP games on pc (I'm not referring to the recent one), both of which are very good, although a bit dated now.

Other than that the only other ones I can think of is Alien 3 on the snes and Aliens on the ancient Spectrum.

rumplstilts4974d ago

YES!

Avp games for PC are excellent. There is Alien vs Predator Extinction for PS2 and Xbox. Alien Resurrection for PS1. Alien 3 for Genesis, Snes. Aww shit Imma give you a link because Im love the franchise that much.

I was just thinking about this game today, hoping that Duke wasn't going to overshadow it. Glad it's still on track.

I am really starting to like Gearbox a lot lately. Can't wait for Brothers in Arms: Siege of Bastonge either.

rezzah4974d ago

Huge alien fan, im gona get this.

rumplstilts4974d ago

I buy anything with aliens in it. Even Avp:Requiem despite that being one of the worst horror movies I have ever seen.

rezzah4974d ago

Well I wouldnt go that far xp, but recently I did buy this Alien statue made out of recycable material. Pretty awesome tbh.

Roundtable: Games That Should Have Received a Sequel

Too many games aren't given a second shot. We at VGU choose which games we would love to see receive a sequel.

The Saboteur - criminally underrated and a fantastic mechanic of bringing colour back to Nazi-occupied Paris.

The article lists Bulletstorm, Sleeping Dogs, and Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Can't argue with any of those really, but I would add Resident Evil Operation Racoon City and Metal Gear Survive to that list. Both terrible games from good franchises.

Bulletstorm, I actually liked the gameplay but the atrocious writing and characters made me despise the game by the end of it.

I still play AvP on PS3 to this day. That game had fun multiplayer too.
