Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 puts Wii Sensor Bar on PS3, Xbox 360

Examiner.com
"Cabela's hunting games have been around for a while and the latest, Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011, will be the first in the series to come with a gun controller for the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. And to do so, Activision is bringing a Wii-like sensor bar to the Sony and Microsoft consoles along with the "Top Shot Elite wireless hunting controller."

rawr! Smokey eat puny human!

MxShade5011d ago

I don't know what's funnier, PS3/360 getting a Wii-bar, or there being a plotline for this.

Queasy5011d ago

Should just be a couple of guys walking around and one of them suddenly screams, "Look out Ned! It's comin' right for us!"

Zerodin5011d ago

And in GTA the plot should be "Yo Yo yo! I'mma gang bangin mutha fucka! WORD!"

Greywulf5010d ago

holy shit queasy..

lol.

I can't remember, is that southpark?

HolyOrangeCows5011d ago

"The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions operate with 2.4GHz wireless technology and include a sensor bar and high-sensitivity camera"

How much is THAT going to cost?

dizzleK5011d ago

$60

the games are usually $40 by themselves.

DORMIN5011d ago

I don't see why they don't wait till the motion controllers with the cameras come out and use them.

They are better off making it a launch title with Move and Kinect where they will probably see more sales than a standalone.

rdgneoz35010d ago

@FantasticMrFoxdie "Pre-order Ships 10/19/2010", its after Move launches. Move would work fine by itself with the game, though I wonder how they'd do Kinect since "With Kinect Xbox 360 now has the best controller ever made – YOU." ...

Christopher5010d ago

PS3 already got wii-like sensors with Time Crisis 4. And a cool orange plastic gun.

MMFGaming5011d ago

Now they just need to make a pump shotgun and we'd be all set.

Queasy5011d ago

The included gun does meet your pump-action needs.

Wow the fur on the animals in the screenshots looks pretty awesome.

Backlog Quest: Day 1 – Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011 | Clearance Bin Review

Backlog Quest is a month long special event on Clearance Bin Review featuring daily game reviews of the games that have sat on the shelf for simply too long; old and new.

From Day 1 – Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011, Tristan Rendo writes "I had seen them in stores quite a bit, and there is no shortage of them, so I had wondered for quite some time just what these Cabela’s games had to offer. I remembered the older arcade games where you would shoot at animals as they ran across your path, but couldn’t imagine that concept had been packaged onto a disc and sold at original MSRP for $60. Though the presence of a gun accessory made it seem possible."

I tried MAG when it first was patched, and had a hard time keeping it level, and became motion sick. Killzone 3 is a close second, but the easiest to pick up and play is,

I will save people the click and just come out and tell you what that game was. It was Cabela's Dangerous Hunting 2011.

Honestly, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I guess I would be crying if this guy was really that dumb to think Cabelas Hunting is better because, gameinformer had a video that tells a completely different story (hint: it sucks).
