PSNStores.com recently chatted with Team Meat on why Super Meat Boy won't be on PS3. The answer may surprise you.

Oh well, already played the Meat Boy flash from my computer :P

So from my previous experience I'm not too excited about it. But that's just my personal opinion. I'm sure many peeps may like it though.
Let's just see just how "Super" this version will be and I might just check it out via Wii or maybe XBL something :)

I have all the platforms it is releasing for, save the PS3, and Imma pick up the Wii version for the NES style Wiimote controls. It is bliss for platformers.

This was the first time I had seen or heard of this game.....

And I'm not saying it's trash, but it clearly is more like one of those flash games.....and those are usually free.

Meat Boy is not a game I would buy, I don't care what system I have.
That's the truth from what I have seen.

Looks like N, with the level creation removed, and a Ninja replaced with a meatsack.

I guess that's fun, but I'd rather play N. Because of the level editor, well, and Ninjas look cooler.

it has a ninja you can play as too, you play as more characters than meat boy, heck if you saw all the stuff on this game it's pretty interesting... i might buy it... but then again, i am a cheap ass

I have learned in all my years of gaming that it's best to save the jealously and want for a game until you actually hear the reviews for it. SMB could be complete crap and we might not want it on PSN. exclusivity doesn't necessarily equal quality

yeah man it got great reviews on the wii. You can try the flash version it's fun but the controls are difficult. But if you love old 2d games. You will love the platforming on this.

I don't understand how Demon's Souls can be called a mistake in any way, shape, or form. One of the best games I've ever played, one of the few games this gen worthy of being called hardcore, and they made a full translation for NA (and other regions too, I think, but I got the NA version so it's the only one I care about--no offense to anyone else!).

I don't see where the mistake is.

Sorry to say but xino is right.

Sony did admit their mistake for NOT publishing the Demon's Souls game themselves ever since Atlus proved the "niche" franchise to be very successful despite only passed through "word-of-mouth". Seeing how SMB was also rejected similarly because it didn't appeal to SONY (as a whole), at least someone had the BALLS to publish Demon's Souls.

Hot damn... I'm shocked Sony didn't want to publish Demon's Souls. It's one of the highest rated titles they have, and one of the best RPGs this generation. Does this mean it could technically appear on other platforms in countries outside of Japan?

On-topic:

This might be a major potential f*ck up on Sony's part. If the game is doing well and being received well, then people are going to miss out if Sony is passing this up.

I don't see the problem really. Sony wants a working demo and it is tested for bugs and errors before a decision is made.

MS will grab everything it can and if it is bad it will just sink to the bottom like all the rubbish games they approve.

If you sony didn't want it, then it must have been bad. There are some really crappy games on PSN, although most are decent or good.

The reason why MS was so fast to pick it up was because it involved lots of blood which will sell lots of the 360 because its main market is 12 year olds and 12 year olds love anything to do with gore and violence(See Gears of War). Since it would sell regardless of it's quality MS would pick it up while sony has a qaulity control team.

And of course it could get on wii/PC, PC has no filters on what can get online and wii already has tonnes of shovelware on it so it's just more crap piled on crap(Not to say the wii doesn't have fantastic gems in the rough like a boy and his blob, No more heroes, Monster Hunter, Metroid, etc)

I'm almost positive the game is crap.
