The haters can say all they want about how the 360 has this RAM and that RAM and how it's a better machine or the same as the PS3 but show me the games to prove this.

It's a year older and should be killing the PS3 with incredible graphics by now but it simply is not. Instead it's supporters have to look to multiplat games that haven't released yet to hope to compare to PS3 exclusives from years ago.

It's not MS or the media or anyone else killing the industry. It's the gamers who support the 360 cause if they didn't, these games wouldn't be held back and we would be getting our $60 worth.

I am a bit concerned. Look how much space Final Fantasy 13 took on a bluray and look at the content of it, very linear. I know scans don't give true detail but anyone use to seeing scans, like just about anyone who frequents this site, should be able to deduce how good or bad a game looks by looking at its scans.

So many multiplat games have been gimped to accomadate the 360 and it's fans. Boarderlands, GTA4, RDR, RE5, etc etc ALL these games would have had much more to them with a proper hardware and software

Look at them laughing like fools about MGSR saying how it was once said MGS4 graphics couldn't run on the 360 but they ignore that fact when PS3 gamers talk about graphics we don't just talk about graphical quality but EVERYTHING that's happening on screen at once to enhance the game experience of which MGSR isn't going to be on the same scale as MGS4 was. Better graphics? sure but MGS4 was years ago shouldn't MGSR using the same engine atleast do a bit better? but MGSR will have have to keep down the scale of the sceneries and enemies on screen to make things fit into a DVD - GIMPED.

High end graphics, lighting, all kinds of particle effects, animations, AI and the amount of AI all running on one screen. The 360 gamers look to Rage and see graphics but there's nothing else in there. The game is stagnant and plain with only room to make the graphics look good but everything else has to be dumbed down to fit on a DVD.

If the gaming industry dies it is the 360 gamers are the ones who will kill gaming and it's future cause of their stubborn ignorance.

Gameplay makes games not the graphics, and you can get great games on any system. Gameplay is not gonna be gimped because of minor edge in processing power and larger disc space.

I agree with you that graphics don't make the gameplay in a game better but When you think about it. SE's decision to go on the 360 with FF13 had a lot of weight on the design of the game. They were half way through and when the decision was made. Don't you think that they looked at the 360 audience and how they prefer shooters. FF13 is nothing more than a corridor rpg. The dialogue sucks and the characters are all teenie boppy. IF you don't think the 360 influenced the development of the game then you're an idiot. Come on, you need to slow down. To be fair GTA4, RDR RE5 and some other games are actually better on the xbox. So I wouldnt say the xbox held back the ps3 in those cases. Besides you need to be real, xbox fanbase is still larger than PS3's and it would be crazy for a multiplat publisher no to cater it.

Regarding FFVERSUS. I need to see better images or better yet a HD video but I'm suspecting that wont happen till TGS. I'm not sure why everybody is so impressed with those scans they look ok to me.

not only does it look far better then ff13 it fixes everything wrong with ff13. it has a better combat system(kingdom hearts style), more open enviorments an a more mature story. vs13 is what ff13 should of been but for some reason wasn't able to do. i wonder what that something was?

- All the screenshots in the interview are captured from the game running in real time.
- The movement of the clouds in the game are controlled by the physics engine in the game.
- The game employs an open field concept, so you can travel anywhere except into mountains.
- The encounter system is a mix of random and visible encounters? (Confusing point, the blog doesn't seem clear either.)
- Battles are seamless. The only loading in the game will occur when moving between very large areas. They're aiming for the ultimate in seamlessness.
- Objects along the paths of roads can be destroyed.
- Most people will not believe their eyes when they see the high quality of the battles in motion.
- The staff are highly motivated now.
- There will still be improvements and more polish on the visuals made, the visuals in the screens are the game running at the moment.

Honestly I never player FF13, I just didn't have the heart to go through with playing a game I knew I would hate. Furthermore I just felt FF VS just had an art style that felt like " next generation " you know like it would be something that really moved the rpg bar. All I needed was info on how the gameplay could enhance the FF experience, its still early but so far so very good. I think we will get our 'information overload' at TGS....... let's keep our expectations realistic and hope for the very best.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII cutscene's are in-engine and they look considerably better than anything FFXIII showed and are closer to CG than you can imagine stated the creater of the game. Also, CG cutscenes used up most of FFXIII disc, not the in-game assets. Hence if in-engine cutscenes are used it probably won't even fill a single layer blu-ray let alone a dual-layered one. Therefore, this game has unlimited potential to be the best in the Final Fantasy series there are so many paths they can take with it and it being a PS3 exclusive they can take advantage of the system with 50GB of disc space at their disposal. Square Enix was like Polyphony Digital back in the day always finding ways to get the most out of the system and delivering a quality product...lets just hope that they've returned to their roots and they can get some respect and dignity back with Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

I'm not biased at all, I just didn't enjoy MGS4 as much as I did 3, I liked MGS3 setting, the whole survival thing, just every aspect of the game. Just because I don't enjoy everything put on the PS3 doesn't mean its absurd. Yes Uncharted 2 was boring, the gameplay was average, the online was dull and it just wasn't fun. I beat it in less than 5 hours, played online for 3 days and its just a bunch of noobs and I sold it, my first game I went 24-2.

GT5 don't really care about because not into those types of racing games, and fine tuning my car for 5 hours before I even race, just not my thing. Also I don't have to want a PS3 game because all you fanboys hype it to death, I don't care about the Last Guardian, it doesn't look interesting and I could care less about it.

And Yes I have played both ICO and Shadow of The Colossus.

Nothing is wrong with Twisted Metal, that is why I said "Need I say more?" Its going to be bad ass I don't need to say anything. I brought up that list because I'm so sick of seeing PS3 Fanboys bring up that list of games and thinks EVERY person who owns a PS3 HAS to enjoy those games. Reality is, people who own a PS3 might not like all those games because a bunch of N4G fanboys droll over them. Over half my PS3 friends list agrees me with for the most part, and every single one of them agrees on U2 and The Last Guardian.

Nothing wrong with not liking a game, your fanboys are just shocked and so fast to say I don't even own a PS3 because you can't believe someone just might not like those games.

MGS4 kicks MGS3's butt lol, uncharted 1/2 I would never have played 1st 1 I thought the game was going to be awful, but my dad got it for me for xmas that yr OMG 1 of my all time favourite games and same for number 2 until you've actually played through 1 you can say anything about it, the last guardian i dnt like the look of either (but as I just said that probably means its awesome lol) KZ3 looks good, as does infamous 2 and twisted metal just looks fun, i dont think its designed to be a hardcore story game like the others that were mentioned

I really can't decide what looks/sounds better to me: the badass behemoth (just look at the size of that thing! And it's not even standing on two feets!), the sad desolated wasteland, the promise of an open world or the battle system! Honestly, apart from FFXIV, there is nothing on the near future that feels this exciting to me! As a matter of fact, the last time I felt this excited about a game it was with Metal Gear Solid 4 - and I barely saw anything from it yet!

its kinda late if they will announce it as multiplatform , they should have done that in E3, but i hope it does not mean there is still a deal that greedy wada wants that might delay and downgrade this game. From the look of the scan (kinda too dark so can't really tell), it looks a little bit better than SO4 but darker and less color. Like these (these aren't even the best scenery in SO4 yet, but these are the only thing i can find)

What about Red Dead Redemption? That game has so much things to do, HUGE area for explorations, multi player, everything is insanely detail and looks amazing. How many DVDs does it take to run RDR?

What about other exclusive RPGs like Fable 2, ME2, LO that have huge exploration areas, towns, superb graphics, great game play and story? How can u guys explain those? Why they didn't cut out contents in those games because of limited DVD storage?

I guess you guys were thinking about the PS3 because there hasn't been any large open area game on PS3 that look good Like what: valkyrie chronical? White Knight? Demon Soul? infamous?. Many large area games are multi-platform and you already know what happen with those on the PS3.

And again, if the game is good, then so be it. FF13 is trying to recapture the magic of FF10 (it is almost the same game, just different story and better graphics). And again, FF13 is not gimp because it went multi-platform. It still ran at 720p, 2xMSAA, 1080p CG and uncut sounds. What so gimp about it?

A good looking game really depend on the developers, time and money.

Cant say really much about the game, u know, graphic wise, from the scan. I for one am just "oh, thats nice, but nothing breathtaking" though I would like to be proven wrong. Though I'm all for the whole "feels less of a fantasy environment" setting as it is something different and me like.

Then again, the scans are bad, but I'm hoping for FFv13 to be THE FF of this gen. FF13 kinda dissapointed me. It was fun, but it lacks content, and comparing with its predesesors, thats a lot of content!

New screens show a Shinjuku-like environment, endless wilderness, a gas station. Screens are real time.

Nomura about the game's world, "If you try to go all the way to the end, it's truly far."

Nomura on Versus XIII:

- All the screenshots in the interview are captured from the game running in real time.
- The movement of the clouds in the game are controlled by the physics engine in the game.
- The game employs an open field concept, so you can travel anywhere except into mountains.
- The encounter system is a mix of random and visible encounters? (Confusing point, the blog doesn't seem clear either.)
- Battles are seamless. The only loading in the game will occur when moving between very large areas. They're aiming for the ultimate in seamlessness.
- Objects along the paths of roads can be destroyed.
- Most people will not believe their eyes when they see the high quality of the battles in motion.
- The staff are highly motivated now.
- There will still be improvements and more polish on the visuals made, the visuals in the screens are the game running at the moment.

- You'll be able to use a car as promised. You can exit it and move on foot at any time as well.
- Enemies will be visible on the field, and while some enemies are wandering around, others will suddenly appear and surprise you. (This clarifies what the random and visible comment meant, and it also confirms that game will be similar to FFXII in that sense.)
- Nomura says they're planning for a big unveiling of Versus at some point, but he doesn't really give any deadline for it.

i belive you are partialy right the problem is we will never know the truth looking at the past ffs they have been equal graphics wise to the best on the platform and biggest content wise so for square to take such a dip in quality with ffxiii they either made some really bad design choices or gimped it for 360 lookin at the main ps3 exclusives i would say it got gimped a a bit but it was going to be bad either way as it wouldnt have been that drastically different (unless planned for multi from the start)

FF Versus XIII just made the top of my list of games to buy. I hope this stays exclusive, nothing against the xbox 360 but I own both consoles and i have to say although games on the xbox are fun (halo) nothing i own for the xbox comes close to matching the amount of content and stunning graphics that are PS3 exclusives.
