Mass Effect 2: Liara T'Soni on Illium Walkthrough

GamerZines: This is by far the most requested walkthrough for BioWare's sci-fi spectacular and even though searching for terminals on Illium makes us flashback to researching those godforsaken keepers in the original Mass Effect, thankfully this side quest isn't anywhere near as troubling.

Well, as long as you read our helpful guide that is.

This was certainly a pain to deal with and took a good hour at least as I searched for terminals. Fun investigating piece but at the same time I was slightly annoyed by it.

^ You don't need to take things THAT seriously dude. Chillax!

I am going to complete all the side missions even though I want to see the end, I just don't want to quit playing ME2 right now. The loading times are horrible though! (Got an Arcade and don't have a HDD)

voice of Liara is also the voice for Lightning in FFXIII. Just an interesting tidbit!

This quest is very easy, the only problematic bit is the last bit, which still hasn't even been explained properly here.

When you have to find all 5 data points, 4 of them are in the area downstairs from her office, but one of them is in eternity's bar (the second data point), once you have that, you can tell her nothing fits.

That terminal quest was so easy I don't understand how people have problems with it. They give you a damn proximity detector, what else do you want, for the game to have arrows showing you were you need to go. The game is liner as it is so some diversion is always welcomed.

FantasyStar5183d ago

When the timer starts. Just scan the room until your HUD shows "Vulnerable Terminal". I don't see how this is difficult.

iamgoatman5183d ago

The mission wasn't that hard or confusing. A quick run around Illium and you'd find the terminals in no time, hack them, follow the bleeping, upload. Simple.

But saying that I've come across levels in various games I could not for the life of me understand, even though the solution was staring me right in the face.

Charmers5183d ago

If you need a walkthrough to do Liara's quests in ME 2 then seriously hang up your mouse/gamepad and find a new hobby. The quests are ridiculously easy and require virtually no skill whatsoever.

Good comment, + bubbles.

EDIT: Lol, you really didn't need that, oh well, you get an agree at least!

Most requested walkthrough?? Are you kidding me? This proves that a lot of people actually spend more time online bickering and talking smack to each other than playing the actual video game. This quest was so damn easy. FFS, they give you a damn meter thing to practically GUIDE YOU to the terminal. This has to be a joke or something. You really can't call yourself a gamer if you can't even do this simple quest. In fact you don't even need a walkthrough guide for the entire game. Everything that is interactive is highlighted by a big blue box.

This is too hilarious.

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave12d ago (Edited 12d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
