A user at NeoGAF has leaked some data from the NPD. These numbers include the LTD sales for Uncharted, MGS4, Gears of War, Twilight Princess and more.

I don't know if these are real or not but it's sad that people don't buy ratchet and clank much. Platformers are one of my favorite genres. But people just don't buy them much. And so far (about halfway in), this is arguably the best R&C. If anyone's on the fence on it while reading this, just buy it. Insomniac is one of the best developers around.

They say this might be the last R&C, which if you listen hard enough, you can probably hear my heart break as I write that. But if this is, I hope their next series they move onto gives them the success they so rightfully deserve. And unless it's a game about the life of a spider (arachnaphobic), I'll be first in line to buy it.

Link goes to quotes from some 'AniHawk' guy on NeoGaf who's skewing numbers a bit. There have been official press releases already that show this guy's lowballing numbers. Uncharted 2 for example has already passed one million in the states. There's been press releases. Funny he ignores them and still posts only > 900k. Okay. He could've worded that differently so as not to discount an extra couple hundred thousand units at a quick glance, but okay.

Here's the kicker.

AniHawk saying Resistance is still Sony's best selling US game with Uncharted 2 the next closest by only a couple hundred thousand. Ummm...what? Uncharted 2 just passed one million in the states late last year...2009...MGS4 however passed a million in the US in December of 2008 http://www.gamasutra.com/ph... a full year earlier. It's sold much more since then. So Uncharted 2's a year behind, yet it's somehow leapfrogged MGS4 with less sales? lolz

Keep in mind that NPD does not include Wal-Mart or certain online vendors, or many of the hole-in-the-wall game stores out there. So if NPD lists it at 900K, it has definitely passed a million in the states.

I believe they do take the walmart sales estimated into thteir numbers. They are not 100% accurate but using statistical methods they are close enough. I could be wrong though

Some of the numbers make no sense, like if resistance is the best selling game and then uncharted at 900K + then how the hell is mgs4 at 1.3 million? Shouldnt the 900k read 1.3m +? I dont think uncharted has reached 1.3 million either. Im not saying these are wrong but the numbers dont appear to ad up unless im missing something. Ill wait for official numbers myself.
