New Black Mesa model renders have come out of the wood works including a Xen Controller, Scientist, Guard, and a Grunt with armor. A working build of the Black Mesa mod is also rumored to be in the hands of Australia's Power Play PC Magazine along with their mod featured on the cover. Looking good there Black Mesa artists, looking good.

Black Mesa: Source announced that they are releasing a retail version of the game that supporters can purchase, though casual players still have access to the free version. Mr.WaWa talks about Half-Life and discusses briefly the game and mod's development over the years. He's gonna buy the crap out of it. Will you?

I know I miss that so much it sucks when characters and costumes are DLC :(
F2P games are starting to realise that. Everything can be unlocked in Planetside 2, for example.
Remember that these games are free, but have to make money somehow. A couple of quid here and there is probably not a big ask for something you'll play for 20 hours +.
That said, I still hate DLC that takes characters and stuff out in full-priced games. Either it's freemium or premium, you shouldn't have both.
Not to mention, Planetside 2's F2P model is pretty well implemeneted in that paying players have no strict advantage over players that dont.
Nah I don't agree, I'm not sure people would come back to the mod if they were releasing bugged and unfinished piece of black mesa.

Looks better than Half Life 2. Can't wait for this mod. But I just hope it doesn't turn out like Garrys mod where it ends up costing money in steam.
I can't freakin wait for this!
