CheatCC says, "According to Atomic Games' president Peter Tamte, unlike other media, the interactive nature of the video game allows players to put themselves in realistic decision-making processes. In this way, players will experience war as close to first-hand as possible. Movies, books, and even stories are passive. Though they may chronicle events as precisely as possible, you cannot influence the outcome. He claims that such interaction gives people a deeper level of understanding."
"The Seattle-based (Washington , the US) indie games publisher Victura and indie games developer Highwire Games, are today very happy and excited to announce that they have just released three new missions for their first-person tactical shooter "Six Days in Fallujah", nearly doubling the content in the game (the new missions is available right now for PC via Steam Early Access)." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Six Days In Fallujah is a controversial military sim which just hit Early Access. Jump Dash Roll dives into the battlefield to give its first impressions on a possible rival to Call of Duty.
14 years after its original controversy-filled announcement, Six Days in Fallujah has made its way into Early Access. How does this milsim game fare?
It sucks that the game dont have any publisher. It would probably be one of the game i would like to play.
if micrsoft or sony was smart they would publish it as an exlcusive, atomic would gladly take it
After reading about this sim last spring I was looking forward to being able to play it by now.Needless to say my disappointment that it ended up as D.B.R. ( Dead Before Release )due to all the controversty of a unpopular war and a even more unpopular president!
This is a story that needs to be told weather its through a movie, book or a military simulatiom played through a pc or console. From what I have read and seen on SD in F it would be no different in play as the current modern military sims on the market with the main difference being that this was a REAL event and not a fantasy situation.
This a story that needs to be remembered for the 38 soldiers that gave there lives for us to even think of playing a sim like this. I agree with the author in saying war sucks, but these young kids playing CoD/MW2 and think its "COOL!" need this as a history lesson!
I never hear of any WW2 vets complaining about people playing military sims from that war, Perhaps its because most of them are DEAD and gone! ( watch the History Military Channel sometime ).
Lets all hope that there is a publisher out there with enough BALLS to take this project and release it!
I'd like to play it yeah
this does look really cool but Id like to see how Medal of Honor does too cause if MOH does good enough we might not even need this but u never know!
