Will Wright says Spore is coming to consoles

After EA previously planned for Spore to go from PC to handhelds. In an interview this week The Sims & Spore creator Will Wright says they are looking to release Spore on all the platforms.

Will Wright said: "You might be playing part of the game on a handheld platform, you might be playing the entire game but maybe more avatar-based on a console. The consoles are getting kind of different now, I think there's a really interesting distinction between the Wii and the Xbox 360 and PS3. Something like the Wii offers a lot of interesting creative opportunities for the editors, with the controller."

spore with it's evolution can suck my balls

Sphinx6468d ago

... I love the idea of this game. I don't believe in evolution, but this game looks like a lot of fun... sort of how I don't believe in running around shooting people, but it sure is fun in games.

amrasmord6468d ago

how could you not believe in evolution? There are fossils to prove it.

Marriot VP6468d ago

sorry not one bit of proof for evolution. Just outlandash theories.

Also there's 120 scientific ways to determine how old the earth is but evolutionists only use 4 of them. All 116 prove the earth to be quite young.

Sphinx6468d ago

...is not proven to be true. It is as much a theory as creation is. I do believe in macro-evolution (adaptation), but not micro-evolution. For instance, I believe a cat might grow a thicker coat over time if exposed to cold weather consistently... however, I don't think that same cat is going to turn into a polar bear... or a Khajit... nice Oblivion reference :)

Marriot VP6468d ago

lol, waiki that was more of a joke from them and still funny

wakkiwakko6468d ago

;) But that's exactly how I view certain people :D Just plain out silly! Yet very serious! o.O

TheMART6468d ago (Edited 6468d ago )

People you can be sure of one thing.

We all came from the same origin. All life starts in water. You see it on Mars where live didn't got too far probably because the planet got too dry/hot.

So on Earth we got water, one cell, two cell, amoebes and multiple cells, bacteria untill organisms and plants started to appear.

Anyone not believing evolution is just because they're restricted by belief and try to say there are multiple other ways or are those bones found and proven to be very very old, the dinosaures found of million years ago, even the big bang that has been proved all nonsense?

Anyway all that reality in Spore? I don't know. I would rather have a really unreal Gears of War!

yah i know I don't like his humor but his points are mostly valid.

Anyways i think we should cap this conversation off because this isn't the place.

wakkiwakko6468d ago

I watched all his tapes. I got them on my pc. I find them completely idiotic. It’s just ludicrous. Everything he says, all his points are just twisted. He uses humor to ease people into what he’s saying. The bible/god can be ridiculed the exact same way.

I love how he mentions that he’s in love in science. :D To him science is idiotic. Unless it’s said that god did it, he’ll ridicule it. Worthless.

People have to be open minded, but only those who are foolish enough can explain that everything has been done/created by the all mighty god. And it’s just… ridiculous. There’s no concrete proof that god exists. There’s no concrete proof of creationism.

I believe in evolution. I don’t believe in the whole god created everything theory.

specialguest6468d ago (Edited 6468d ago )

oh no! the Evolution Vs. Creation debate has moved from Ebuamsworld forum to this site! anyway, im really looking forward to this game. the last evolution game i played was on the SNES called E.V.O.

Marriot VP6468d ago

well here we go then, oh well

I won't post as long as evolutionists don't post and we can stop it there....agreed

TheMART6468d ago

Nope, because creation don't exist, the whole idea of a god must be hidden somewhere on mars in a box and never be told again to humans.

THe only thing belief gives the earth is war and destruction. Watch it. Almost all fights are somehow related to belief.

Belief didn't create, gods and belief only lead to mass slaughter and destruction.

It's evolution baby, and I don't agree with someone who denies just the way things go... It's not just coïncidence that apes and humans look alike so much and for 99% are build about the same man. Please believers in gods and creationist please do reply. I like reading b*llshit haha

And well about the game I hope there is a way in the game to have no god and if it's there to get ridd of it

wakkiwakko6468d ago

Listen mate… it ain’t hurting nobody what who believes in. Whether its evolution or creation. As long as the person who believes it is happy with themselves it’s ok. Nobody is getting hurt in the process. I believe in evolution, others may not. It’s not going to make me want to slit their throats. People are allowed to hold different believes. Free will and such. When you impose on free will, like that fellow in those vids, then it’s completely wrong. I say let people believe what they want to and no one should be allowed to convert anyone.

Now let’s all patiently await spores arrival and enjoy it when it comes. :D

TheMART6467d ago

OFcourse I agree on free will, BUT my ideal earth would be without gods and other fairy tales.

Just because of all those people death in the name of God (Christian), Allah (which terrorists are misusing over the backs of all good moslims). See recent wars, Bosnia, Servia-Montenegro, Congo, Middle-East...

We're not the only planet near a star called the sun that developped under the right conditions, I hope anyone, believer or not will think of that when staring to are those millions, billions of stars and are just wishing something on that star... That could be other ones sun...

Stil I won't buy Spore but Gears of War, some good chainsaw action without even a God that gave mass destruction! ;)

To me there are two choices one has, to believe in God or not to believe in God, the latter appealing to me more. However, not believing could send me to a fiery pit for the rest of my life(death?), while believing offers no downside so great as eternal damnation. Therefore I will believe in God, so as to cut my losses in any case. :)

Marriot VP6467d ago (Edited 6467d ago )

:)

Although I find your belief only out of fear I'd encourage you that the bible has been proven throughout history time and time again. And that theologically without an absolute god that the world would destroy itself. Because if evolution is real than there's no absolutes. And if there's no absolutes than how could hitler or any other man like him be wrong if it's all relative.

Cool link I found a while back.

I could go on and on but I encourage you to look at this humble like. You have to believe because you want to and not because your afraid.

The 10 Weirdest Video Games You Can Play Today

From Xfire: "Anyone who's played video games for a couple of years has stuck around long enough to stumble across a few weird ones. Some are even quite popular, which is all the more reason why you'll wonder what made the developers think about making such a game and why people are loving it, despite its weirdness anyway. Not all weird video games are head-scratches. Some are actually quite good."

BlackDoomAx1072d ago

The stick of truth is a must have for any South Park fans. I spent a good afternoon on Goat simulator, a rare real open world. I planned to try hatoful boyfriend since it was free on Ps Plus. Disco Elysium is on my radar since the final cut came out; as soon as there is a discount, i will take it. Like movies, i like weird games too :)

The 10 Best Video Games With Cut Content

From Xfire: "The four-hour director's cut known as Zack Snyder's Justice League has led to the discussion of movies in the past that might have fared a whole lot better had they been released to be more in line with the original vision of their creators. But, as it turns out, cut content doesn't just happen in movies. In fact, the act of cutting content before the release date happens arguably just as often in video games as it does in cinema."

anast1078d ago (Edited 1078d ago )

I can't believe they cut stuff from Skyrim. At release, it was a barebones game with a slight improvement in graphics.

-Foxtrot1078d ago

"Now, before we proceed, we'd like to say that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is one of the best video games ever made. It's not just a fine piece of gaming. It's one of the finest there is"

Really?

MGSV is easily the worst main line MGS game and not just because of cut story content, the open world is bare bones and there's hardly anything to do. It's repetitive, samey and is just lifeless. I appreciate the stealth mechanics, the animations and the way you can go with combat but it's not enough to keep me engaged the full way through.

Kojima should have done a twist and make the main chunk of the game a Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2 remake to bring the story full circle.

lsujester1078d ago (Edited 1078d ago )

Story issues aside, V has amazing gameplay. I'm not sure what you're wanting out of the world in terms of "things to do", it's all the great gameplay the series has always had. Useless filler that other open worlds have like collecting flags and petting horses would have added nothing to that game.

JRMVN1072d ago

THE TRUTH! I don't even know how that game gets praised. The previous ones were so much better.

Classic Games I'd Love To See Again.

While we have witnessed a lot of remakes, remasters and even sequels to games a decade old. There are still some gems that are close to my heart that are lost to me. Here are some classic games that I'd love to either see remakes or remasters of, or even a sequel on new hardware.
