Army of Two Latest Screens & Info

Electronic Arts revealed a smattering of details about its upcoming PS3/ Xbox 360 co-op shooter Army of Two this morning, including extended plot information about main characters Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem, and namely, how they came to do what they do.

as a matter of fact, only a few games look as good as GOW, and only a handful (Heavy Rain, MGS4 and Crysis) look better. but Army of Two DEFINATELY looks good. another one i'm keeping on my radar.

they have about same amount polys and details, but
I like the design of Army of Two better. = looks better for me. Visuals are better in action too, more going on = better for me.

It's the gameplay why I'd choose this over GOW.
Though I'd play rather Katamari Damacy than those two games.

It doesn't look better than Gears of War or Resistance, but it still looks really nice. The completely Co-op thing sounds great and I'll look forward to this game as well along with you other Xbox 360 and PS3 fans.

you gotta think about it this way in terms of the rumble pack thing. lots of Xbox 1 games never had rumble, yet it never took away from the game. people will still play it.

it's just one of those things that you'll miss, but it won't ruin the game though. the plus side of things is the use of keyboard/mouse for PS3 FPS games. better? well that depends on personal preference.

Army of Two is looking good so far.
I dunno what all the bad comments about rumble and ps3 is for tho. PC doesnt have rumble and it is the king for FPS games. If the game is good enough u shouldnt need rumble to make the game better.

Btw Crytek has said at E3 that crysis is pc only game for the foreseeable future.

I wonder how the two versions (x360, ps3) will compare in a side-by-side comparison. Not, graphics, those should be about the same, but I wonder what kind of difference this will make? I don't know but without rumble the controller just feels..dead to me. Especially in a FPS. Any other opinions?

HMMM looks to me like contra on steriods lol. I like the concept so far let's see how the games comes together. I'm excited about this title. I hope they add a 2 vs. 2 online mode that would be very fun and interesting

This game actually intrigues me more than Gears of War. Maybe because it's more based in reality than sci-fi alien stuff. Both games are supposed to put a heavy emphasis on co-op, so it'll be interesting to see how the two compare. Oh yeah, I played Lost Planet today at the 360 booth in Gamestop. I'm gonna get flamed for this, but it's boring. The snow and lighting effects are gorgeous, but there's not much substance there in terms of gameplay and controls(makes halo-jumping look weak). The grappling is kinda neat, but the fact that the playable character can disappear through polygon walls sorta ruins the illusion. (if you're interested in experiencing this next-gen effect, grapple a wall that has a low ceiling/low bars). =/

Hmmm! I think Lost Planet is great i play it every day, It will be a tough game to master. The online multi player; play will be great i have fun playing it and the full game will have bad ass mechs and joy. Sence i think you hate MS you will always find something to pick apart when it comes to MS's 360. Im sure PS3 games will have the same opinions about the games. If Army of Two was 360 exclusive you wouldn't have the kind word towards Army of Two; I'll put my life on it.

I probably wouldn't have a chance to play it. Like I said, Lost Planet is gorgeous. By far the best snow/ice/haze effects I've seen yet (and the lighting during the shooting sequences is spectacular). But the gameplay itself was boring. (come on, I didn't even bother to rant about the low-polygon environments; that's how impressive the rest of the visuals were). I obviously have to see Army of Two gameplay in motion before I makes an hard judgements, but I like how there's a focus on playing the game with a single partner to rely on. (hopefully the AI is intelligent enough to survive on its own, yet still need your help in certain situations, and vice versa).

I believe that this game IS NOT in the same league as Gears of War. It looks good, but its not that impressive. Also I dont like its an EA game. I dont see much in EA games, they only want money. As the Bioshock dev said: "They dont give a s#it about games". So I dont give s#it about EA games. The company is GREEDY. So I prefer GOW. PS: I prefeer the PS3 also, but Gears is a must buy for me.
