Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree To Feature Sekiro-Like Progression

In a recent Famitsu interview, Miyazaki revealed that Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree will feature progression similar to Sekiro.

Which I really liked. You're forced to beat a boss to progress and/or increase your stats. Elden Ring base game, you can just grind levels, get the best gear and absolutely destroy bosses.

This is good news. I was afraid that my level 482 character was going to be over-leveled for the DLC.

That’s an interesting choice. If it is near the difficulty of Sekiro I can see some of the people that enjoyed Elden Ring wont enjoy the DLC. Sekiro you needed to learn the boss and have the right tool and you couldn’t level way up and overpower the boss (though there were skill points but it works differently and not closet to as easy to obtain like grinding levels is) Personally I like it.

"Others, however, are focusing on her…physical appearance instead."

The wording alone tells you the writer is a "no fun allowed" kind of guy

It's easy to forget how many different, varied locations the base game had. And they were all so beautifully designed. It almost feels as though every area was it's own game, with it's own lore, narrative and history.

Whether we see a return to some locations, or mostly entirely new ones, we can be confident that every area will tell it's own story.

I like everything from the foot of the Atlas Plateau to the border of Calid, especially Volcano Manor, and some of the underworld areas. The rest is brutal. Though, there's (possibly was) a good farming spot over at the Heilig Tree and a there's a decent farming spot in Caelid
