The possibly leaked release date for Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is February 25th. This comes courtesy of a possible controller leak shared on the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit.

I’m over 200 hours into the game and still havent gotten to 20% of the trophies, which from what i understand are all mostly boss fights. Im so in love with this game, took a break for a few months but will pick it up again soon. Last time I played I got the other half of the sigil thing to activate the elevator to the fight with the corpse devouring beast in the “atlas planes”? (If i remember correctly). I never even tried to fight him but I’ve been mentally preparing myself for this battle for a few months lol.

I've been recently getting back into the game to prepare for the DLC. I forget what NG+ I'm on but I think it's my third one, counting the number of unique sets of equipment in my inventory.

Hasn't this story been posted before or failed? There's been leaks about the controller and release date for several weeks at this point.

Miyazaki says Elden Ring DLC is 'not quite open field' and that's exactly what it needs

Elden Ring's DLC will turn back to its Dark Souls roots of verticality and is "not quite open field" as it was before.

Good. I prefer the traditional style and if the dlc provides more of that then I will be very happy.

Agreed. I much prefer the more linear (or level-based style). I definitely think there's room for a middle ground between the two.

Elden Ring publisher warns most players won’t be able to start the DLC

The launch of Elden Ring’s DLC is going to be one of the biggest events in gaming this year. It marks the one and only expansion to the Lands Between, and is going to punctuate one of the most successful games of all time. Yet, a majority of players are not even going to be able to play the DLC thanks to the starting requirements.

Good, like for everything in From Software game it required player to sweat to get his reward.

anast4d ago

I'm ready. I'm 13% away from platinum, just waiting for the DLC to release to top it off.

raWfodog4d ago

No surprise there since most DLCs require a certain amount of playthrough in the main story in order to access it.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think From games usually do? Except Bloodborne. I’m actually ok with this. Means my OCD can rest while I try to remember the controls, lol!

I completely agree! I'm ashamed to admit I pride myself in getting all trophies for FromSoft games, but it does occasionally get in the way of enjoying myself (I'm looking at you, Proof of a Concord Kept from Dark Souls 3).

It's fine. More about the content and gameplay which from are well known for.

I haven't tracked achievements/trophies since the PS360 days.
