standard edition looks better then 99,99% of other's gaming companies games Special editions.

Vegamyster1820d ago

Its nice a few companies still include stuff likes maps ect instead of nothing like most nowadays, i love that stuff.

KillZallthebeast1819d ago

Witcher 3 had a bunch of stuff as well. Neat to see they're still doing it

--bienio--1820d ago

Massive flop just after e3 mark my words.

sleepyhead621820d ago

Why are you always commenting these at every cyberpunk thread? Do you have something personal against Cdpr or do you have some insider information?

I'm legitimately curious.

--bienio--1820d ago

I suppose to love them like everyone else Now?? Come on. This is my personal thought about cyberpunk. Maybe I’m wrong but for at the moment looks likely this game will be 7/10 so basically is massive flop after what we get form the Witcher 3.
Wrong direction cdproject take.

SirBillyBones1820d ago

@--bienio-- Based on what though? You haven't explained your opinion. It's easy to throw around predictions, but if you want people to take you seriously then back them up with something tangible.

--bienio--1820d ago

In that case I have nothing to prove. I will wait quietly for the premiere and I will be back for that I was right.

thejigisup1820d ago

@--bienio--2h Question 1. Why are you always commenting this same thing on all cyberpunk threads? Question 2. Do you have something personal against cdpr? I believe this question was asked bc a critically acclaimed studio that's produced some pretty great content has been diligently working to give us an amazing game knows that gamers have high expectations and won't want to tarnish their reputation. 3b. Do you have insider info proving that this may be a flop?
You don't have to love cdpr but you should respect them as a team. I think everyone is curious as to why you feel like it'll be a 7/10 flop.

starchild1820d ago

He's just pissed it's not in third person.

Dragonscale1820d ago

Ah a salty witcher fanboy downplaying lol. Cyberpunk looks awesome tbh, day 1.

The game looks amazing, if it's sales were to dissappoint, it wouldn't have anything to do with quality. I predict 9's and 10's across the board, assuming they can keep their vision of the game.

CorndogBurglar1820d ago

No one is saying that you have to like CDPR like everyone else. But you have to understand why you sound like a massive hater right now:

1. CDPR has given no reason to think this will be a bad game.
2. CDPR has a great track record.
3. The gameplay for Cyberpunk looked incredible.

There's really no reason to think the game will flop, as you admitted yourself. It's one thing if you don't like the setting or gameplay style yourself. But don't take your personal opinion and act like the rest of the world shares it.

CDPR is massively popular after Witcher 3. They could pretty much make a game called Turd Sandwich right now and it wouldn't flop.

Steppenwolfmother1820d ago

He thinks it will flop because it’s not what he wants or likes. Probably wanted another 3rd person fantasy game

KyRo1820d ago

Not everyone likes fantasy, Eldersrolls, GoT, The Withcer-like settings. I know I'm in minority but The Witcher 3 was mundane and bored me senseless but Cyberpunk is looking much more like my style of game. Just because it's not your style of game, it doesn't mean its going to flop.

Yui_Suzumiya1820d ago

I'm right with you.. Never played any Witcher game but even I'll admit they look as high quality as you can get in a game. Now Cyberpunk I'll be getting day 1.

CorndogBurglar1820d ago

I wasn't a fan of Witcher 3 either. But then difference is I still fully recognize that it's a great and very well made. I just didn't like the Combat system, quite frankly. And that's a game breaker for me.

carcarias1820d ago

I'm curious, is it the move from 3rd to 1st person that bothers you?

CorndogBurglar1820d ago

What move to 1st person? As far as I know this will be the first Cyberpunk game. CDPR has every right to make it how they want. They wanted to do something a little different. So they did. People should be happy they aren't making a new Witcher in 1st person. I would understand the anger then. But this is a new franchise. Its never been anything than what they are making it now.

carcarias1820d ago

@CornDogBurglar

Well, technically they originally stated it would be 3rd person so when they announced it would be 1st person one could argue it was a 'move'. I'm talking way back between 2013 and 2016. That's why they had to explain the decision for 1st person to everyone and why there was a bit of an upset in the community.

However, I think using 1st person is the best choice for this game, so if you're assuming I don't like it then I hope that this message corrects that misunderstanding. I like 1st person for shooting and also immersion in an environment like CP.

The reason I asked bienio that particular question was because he said, 'wrong direction cd projekt take' (in a Yoda voice presumably ;) ) which, in my experience on their CP2077 forums over the past year or so, means 'I hate 3rd person'.

CorndogBurglar1819d ago

Hey man, fair enough. And no I didn't think you in particular didn't like the 1st person approach. It was more of a general statement. I was mostly pointing out the "move" to 1st person in response to you. Only because I hadn't realized they originally said it would be 3rd person. So I guess I stand corrected lol.

My personal feelings are actually oppositional.. I've never played a game by them but this is a day 1 from me for certain.. First person cyberpunk RPG.. Sounds amazing to me ❤

Pickledpepper1820d ago

Don't tell me your throwing your toys out of your pram because it's 1st person?

mogwaii1820d ago

You are bitter that they aren't staying in a mediaeval setting aren't you, poor bubba, get over it!

conanlifts1820d ago

."I will wait quietly for the premiere and I will be back for that I was right."

Thats fine but you also need to come back and say how wrong you were if the game turns out well.

HighlyDoubtful1820d ago

Lulz. I literally bet my life you'll buy it and love it. Guaranteed. Literally. I'm literally giving you a guarantee. After the game releases please come back here and admit you were wrong. Thanks bud.

Cyberpunk 2077 Director On 95% Positive Steam Rating: "Never Thought I'd See It"

Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way from being one of the worst games on the planet to being one of the best ones.

DustMan17d ago

I shelved it after a few hours in game at launch, glad I didn't refund it. One of the few games I've actually completed in the last year, and after finishing the campaigns I wanted to just jump back in from the start. They pulled a No Mans Sky and finished one of the best FPS in the last few years.

Games That Were Bad on Release, But Are Now Great

BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.

Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."

Good list..hoped to see Street Fighter 5 there..and it is.

Vits29d ago (Edited 29d ago )

Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.

darthv7229d ago

Several years ago, i submitted an idea to Rare that would change up the mechanics of battling opponents in the game. whereby if you died in battle, you turned into a skeleton warrior and had to fight your way back to the land of the living. It was an interesting twist on respawning and would allow the player to experience both sides of a battle.

I keep hoping to see something like that get added to the game.

Kaii29d ago

They consider FO 76 & ME Andromeda to be great now 🤭

Every game in the last 2 decades...

INMATEofARKHAM28d ago

It's sad that this quick retort is more often than not true... The industry's acceptance of release and patch has gone too far.

gunnerforlife28d ago

Days gone! By the end of the game I couldn't drop it down! I went around so many hours killing zombies! It was addictive by the end.

S2Killinit28d ago

That game was just plain good game. It didnt improve, it was just good.

gunnerforlife28d ago

I don't know, I got it abit late, and struggled for a few days, and then all of a sudden it just got good!!
