Great. I’ll wait until it’s as cheap as possible then will finally get it

Hopefully they’ve learned their lesson for the next game

bunt-custardly193d ago (Edited 193d ago )

Prepare for the long wait then. They have this thing where during any sale the base game lowers to the price it should be at now considering the game's around 3 years old now. Then they boost the price back up after the sale. They have been doing this tactic for quite some time. I assume the same will happen with this edition too. It seems they never go below a certain price. Like ever!

bunt-custardly192d ago

£24.99 price of base game now in the sale on PC.

Mr_cheese192d ago

Legally I think a price has to be set for 6 weeks before they can drop it to a sale price.

So for example, if the game is £20 and the sale price is £20. Somewhere in between, it has to be £25 for 6 weeks.

FYI - The game on Playstation has a one time use code for the DLC. Xbox has it on the disk. A little frustrating as a PS5 owner because I rent and borrow physical media. I also support my loca library with their games, which this will hurt.

-Foxtrot192d ago

Wait. What?

The Xbox version is the one with it on the disc? What the actual f***

If the Xbox can fit it on one disc I think the PS5 can aswell

That’s crazy

CobraKai191d ago

That really sucks. Granted my physical copy is the ps4 version, but i do like owning the next gen version. I guess i’ll get the Xbox one this time.

darthv72191d ago

I have it digitally on my One X (came with the CP themed system) and I have the steelbook edition on XB as well. I will probably get this also on Series X as that one has all the content on the disc. Unless something changes and they are able to get Sony to allow them to put it on disc without having to make a new SKU. Then Id get it on the 5.

shinoff2183192d ago

I'll buy that. Been waiting for this

Jingsing192d ago (Edited 192d ago )

For those who haven't played Cyberpunk 2077. Yes, they have fixed a lot of bugs but ultimately the fundamental mechanics and underlying technology and gameplay is still very dated for 2023 standards. It has a lot of lighting and ray tracing which for whatever reason means a good game to some reviewers but for me it is still a polished turd with a mediocre story/campaign and side missions. I know there is a desperate need for some kind of Blade Runner game in the gaming community but keep your expectations in check as this ain't it.

nitroxhotshot192d ago

Coor what a load of nonsense. The story is fantastic and the game mechanics work very very well. It is a great game (now)

DankSinatra192d ago

Honestly the story is one of the best parts, far from mediocre.

lellkay192d ago

I'm finally playing it for the first time and the story is far from Medicore in my eyes! i'm really enjoying it!

KwietStorm_BLM192d ago

The story and narrative are actually really well done, and for the most part the game runs just as good today. Don't know where you coming from.

It's a shame the PS5 version comes with a code instead of being on disc... took a day 1 buy and made it buy cheap or I may just not buy at all

shinoff2183191d ago

Pretty much. I hadn't realized at my first comment dlc isn't on disc. It kinda takes away the reason I wanted it physically. Fallout 4 all over again.

Profchaos192d ago

Great edition for preservationist entire game in its current state with DLC if this launched way back it would have been sweeping goty awards

Profchaos192d ago

Edit I take that back it's a physical box and a code

Vits192d ago

That seems to be the theme of these games. I'm still sort of mad about the whole FFVII Remake Intergrade. Having the DLC as a code is annoying enough, but making it so that people who buy it second-hand cannot get the DLC from the PSN is just evil.

autobotdan192d ago

Only for Playstation gamers. Xbox gamers get it all on the disc

Cyberpunk 2077 Director On 95% Positive Steam Rating: "Never Thought I'd See It"

Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way from being one of the worst games on the planet to being one of the best ones.

DustMan17d ago

I shelved it after a few hours in game at launch, glad I didn't refund it. One of the few games I've actually completed in the last year, and after finishing the campaigns I wanted to just jump back in from the start. They pulled a No Mans Sky and finished one of the best FPS in the last few years.

Games That Were Bad on Release, But Are Now Great

BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.

Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."

Good list..hoped to see Street Fighter 5 there..and it is.

Vits28d ago (Edited 28d ago )

Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.

darthv7228d ago

Several years ago, i submitted an idea to Rare that would change up the mechanics of battling opponents in the game. whereby if you died in battle, you turned into a skeleton warrior and had to fight your way back to the land of the living. It was an interesting twist on respawning and would allow the player to experience both sides of a battle.

I keep hoping to see something like that get added to the game.

Kaii28d ago

They consider FO 76 & ME Andromeda to be great now 🤭

anast28d ago

Every game in the last 2 decades...

INMATEofARKHAM28d ago

It's sad that this quick retort is more often than not true... The industry's acceptance of release and patch has gone too far.

gunnerforlife28d ago

Days gone! By the end of the game I couldn't drop it down! I went around so many hours killing zombies! It was addictive by the end.

S2Killinit27d ago

That game was just plain good game. It didnt improve, it was just good.

gunnerforlife27d ago

I don't know, I got it abit late, and struggled for a few days, and then all of a sudden it just got good!!
