Yes, the basic formula hasn't changed. Are you surprised? Hell, games in general haven't changed much since Goldeneye.

Its a matter of refinement. Rockstar knows how to build a truly amazing world packed to the hilt with fun stuff to do and limitless potential.

So what if you're still controlling from the 3rd person, hopping in and our of cars, reeking havoc on the city? Thats why these games are awesome.

Rockstar Games have released Gameplay Video Series for Red Dead Redemption, L.A Noire and Max Payne 3 so it's no surprise that they're carrying on the tradition.

Oh great! This just reminded me we will probably see button prompts during the gameplay, which will spark a console war over which version they chose to show for the gameplay video. Despite the fact Rockstar have already stated both versions were developed simultaneously, and are nearly identical, with any difference being negligible.

Y'all realize this now opens the flood gates for a lot more gameplay clips? I remember when the first gameplay clip was released for GTA 4 & San Andreas, clips would surface every few weeks/days as the release got closer and closer. Exciting times :)

R* devs are like kids in a candy shop, they always have a vision, and they always achieve that vision through passion and dedication.

Although I am disappointed that this game isn't next gen, I'll definitely be picking up my copy upon release to support this incredible studio. Kudos Rockstar on (probably) another creative, addicting, and ambitious game!

I can handle that it isn't next gen because I feel they wanted to focus all their energy at truely mastering this gen and creating an incredible experience. Allocating resources to making a next gen version would be detrimental to this, and since so many ppl already own ps3/360 it would hurt too many ppl while only benefiting a small group of early adopters of next gen systems. I wouldn't be surprised if afterwards they made next gen versions, to get a taste of developing on them but the could also chose to go all in on a new title instead of "wasting" man hours on porting it.
